Was Lyndsay’s 4th down TD legal. I thought it was illegal to pull a runner. I know you can push if the runner is in contact with a defender, but I think the guy who threw him into the end zone was pulling, not pushing.

i apologize if this was discussed in the game thread, I don’t want to read it till after the game.

"No offensive player may lift a runner to his feet or pull him in any direction at any time, nor push or throw his body against a teammate to aid him in an attempt to obstruct an opponent or to recover a loose ball. The foul for assisting the runner is a ten-yard penalty."

I thing that I could not believe is that the announcers NVER said a word about it, even after looking at slow motion replay!

It could have and probably should have been called, but this is what I see watching that:
King being lazy, just standing there watching.
Z Smith and Clark missing the tackle.
Lowry getting out-muscled.

Their lineman should have never had that opportunity.

Hey, speaking of rules...
When Denver KO to us following their first score (IIRC), the ball landed and stayed in the EZ, yet Shepherd never covered it. The ref blew it dead for the touchback.
Do returners not have to cover the ball any more? I thought that would've been a live ball until we downed it or they touched it.

Rule was changed in 2018 to say if a kickoff touches the ground in the endzone, without being touched by a member of the receiving team, it is automatically a dead ball.

Just because it's on the books doesn't mean it makes it to the whistle. A lot of TDs would be wiped out if the rule was enforced --  and the fans would probably get upset if it were enforced.
