Rumors/Leaks:

Week 1 @Vikings

Weed 3 @Saints

Cool...

The good news is that both of those teams have non-existent secondaries, so our new draft class is going to be able to really do well  ̶g̶e̶t̶t̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶o̶p̶e̶n̶ ̶d̶o̶w̶n̶ ̶f̶i̶e̶l̶d̶ ̶a̶l̶l̶o̶w̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶R̶o̶d̶g̶e̶r̶s̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶g̶o̶ ̶2̶7̶ ̶f̶o̶r̶ ̶3̶4̶ ̶f̶o̶r̶ ̶4̶0̶0̶ ̶y̶a̶r̶d̶s̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶4̶ ̶T̶D̶s̶  sitting on the bench.

The good news is that both of those teams have non-existent secondaries, so the Packers 3rd year WRs should get an early jump on what is typically the break-out season for WRs.

Still think they should kill the Thursday night games (outside of thanksgiving) and do a 9:30AM EST package. Whether you do international games or not, it's far easier for players, you could still offer that as a package to a network, and lemme tell ya, waking up at 6:30AM to football on the west coast is pretty great..  And I'd much rather have football from 6:30AM to 9PM on one day vs those Thursday night games...

The early bye week sucks but that’s a decent road/home mix of games. We’ve seen worse.

Weeks 1-9 are absolutely brutal, and the easiest part of our schedule is the tail-end where we'll likely be hurt because of the early bye and struggling. That Sunday home game against the Vikings coming off their bye followed by a Thursday game on the West Coast was a nice touch by the NFL. Very good planning.

Vikings don't have a Thursday night game, either.

The Packers get 4 of their last 6 games at home. 5 of those 6 games will be cold weather, outdoor games. GB fans may be re-thinking their derp take of the AJ Dillon pick by Christmas. ❄️☃️💨🌬

I'm still confused about the early divisional games.  I thought the whole point was to put those later in case they had to shorten the season.  Or maybe the league thought beating the Vikings once was enough.

I think this is a good sign that the league thinks they will be able to play a complete schedule.

The last 3 road games are quite winnable.  Packers go 6-1 to finish the season. Maybe even "Run The Table".

No doubt winnable. 13-3 didn't happen because they lost games they were supposed to. But just at a glance each road game presents its own challenges. Tampa/Brady, Texans/Watson, Niners and Saints very difficult. Division road games are always tough. But that's why they play the games. For the most part, MLF was able to keep the roster focused on one game at a time last year. No reason they can't go to any of these places and get a win. But nothing on the road is a pencilled-in win.

"If the season is cancelled, will the Packers get the #1 pick in the 2021 draft since they finished last in this year’s only competition (the 2020 draft)."

Of course. And the vikings finally get a trophy for finishing first. Can't wait for the parade.

You are consistently the biggest Eeyore on this site. Go do something else this fall.

PS. I bet you're confused by this whole social distancing concept. It’s been happening to you for years.

4 of last 6 at home, that's not bad

Sure SF on short week & week 5 bye sucks ass but like @packerboi said....."We've seen worse"

At least the Pack don't have 3 straight road games.

Overall I think the schedule is fine. I’d rather they be challenged early than later in the year as injuries tend to pile up.

My only complaint is 2 home games before Halloween.  As someone that tries to get to a game or two I have zero interest in attending a cold weather home game and this doesn’t present a lot of good options. Perhaps the Nov 1 Vikes game but who knows we could have snow by that point lol

You owe me a dollar in reparations.

Schedules always look tough/easy until half the teams start sucking ass or get hot.  Play the games.

The tundra may not be frozen at Lambeau Field in October.

But it will be well-worn.

The Packers host the Falcons on Monday Night Football in Week Four, a game which will be played on Oct. 5.

That will be a quick turnaround, since the venerable stadium will host Wisconsin and Notre Dame on Saturday, Oct. 3, a game that’s schedule to kick off at 7:30 p.m.

The Packers asked the league to be on the road that week, as well as the week prior, when golf’s Ryder Cup will be played Sept. 25-27 at Whistling Straits, which is about an hour south of Green Bay.

The league complied with half of that request, as the Packers will travel to New Orleans to play the Saints on Sunday Night Football in Week Three.

It will represent a challenge for the grounds crew making sure the turf is safe and playable, but the fact it isn’t later in the season makes it more workable.

Have you ever been to a "cold" game at Lambeau? I find that the temperature is always about 15 degrees warmer inside with all the people jammed together.

I remember being at a game in late Nov a few years ago. I had all the heavy duty shit for a 30 degree day. By the end I had jacket, insulated pants, hats, gloves etc off. The hot green eyed brunette who used to sit next to me was down to her Tshirt rolled up to her under boobs, and her jeans unbuttoned and zipper down to her panty line. And it wasn't more than 35 degrees.

Of course I encouraged her and her boyfriend thought it was funny. He ended up dumping her a year or two later. Found out she was a 2nd or 3rd cousin of mine from MKE on the Sicilian side.

Yes - been to several games in the colder weather.  I live in NE Wisconsin so “used” to it but quite frankly it still sucks.

The worst one was many years ago (early 90s) they were playing Detroit in late December.  Despite being an early noon game was in single digits and the product on the field was just as miserable to endure.
