At the time, I really thought the Lions got a great player in Williams. ACL issue, now suspended for gambling.
I guess the Lions are taking a few WR's in the draft.
Lions released WR Quintez Cephus and S C.J. Moore after the NFL suspended them.

I just got off the phone with Tony Glazer. The gambling is said to be a gentleman's bet over whether the Packers would get a first round pick for Rodgers.
Idiots. Did they not see what happened to Ridley? Why only 6 weeks for Williams and not an entire season?

Let's sign them to a futures contract for 2024.

John Kuhn was just saying itβs drilled in your head over and over when you come into the league that you absolutely cannot do this. He said there is no gray area in these conversations.
Really stupid.
From @NFLNetwork: On the major gambling suspensions this morning -- those suspended at least a year were found to have gambling on NFL games. Those suspended six games placed bets on college games but from their facility. pic.twitter.com/dzHWZst5Yz

I blame their poor college educations. Williams went to Ohio State and Alabama, so that tracks. Moore from Ole Miss. Cephus from... Wisconsin???
I have been wondering how the Lions were going to fare with the weight of increased expectations, what with them being media darlings, favored to win the division, etc. It's uncharted territory around here. This may not have much of an effect in the end, but it certainly lets some of the air out of the balloon.

Legalized gambling on NFL games. Who didn't see this shit coming. We got a casino down the road. You can bet on what color the sky is going to be the next day. Local news is filled with people getting caught embezzling thousands from their employers. Mostly women for some reason.
Wait until they start suspending referees.
Stupid jocks. Just get a friend/relative who you trust and let them place your bets.

So does Paul Hornung.
6 player's gambling. What are the odds?

I wonder if Draft Kings will have an over/under on the total number of players that will get suspended for gambling this off-season
What ultimately happened to Ridley? Did they release him? Is he still on a roster?
Jameson Williams is not helping himself establish an NFL career. I was hoping GB could grab him last year but phew.
Only thing Iβm surprised about is itβs just 6 players identified and suspended.
Sports gambling has become so much more accessible that you know itβs a matter of time where we see a lot more scandals involving athletes.
why the power from this shock could power.... not a damn thing
The house always wins.
I will say, the first thing that came to mind reading the title was AR throwing the final game at Lambeau

Which one?
Thank God I cannot get suspended π

Team in Las Vegas when once they wouldn't allow NFL players to participate in arm wrestling events in that town.
It's clear that these guys with a penchant for gambling need a stern talking to from Chris Carter.
Fingers crossed Joe Barry has a Draft Kings account with action placed from team facilities...
The NFLFU promotes, advertises and shoves gambling in your face. What do they expect? All they care about is $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. Fuck the fans, drain as much money out of them as possible.
Nobody's forcing you to gamble.

I don't fucking gamble. I have better things to do with my money.
I would absolutely love to gamble.
Problem isβ¦the idea of losing $10 on a bet burns me up more than the thrill of winning a bet for $100.

Yeah, I got in trouble with Boris once here years ago for similar comments over this game. I suggested that people who wager on sportsball deserve what they get, and Boris informed me that he was one of those people: if the last play had stood, he would have won a multi-game parlay and zillions of dollars, but instead wound up with bupkis.
(Sorry, Boris.)

I stay in a monogamous relationship and donβt spend money on sex either.
Oh, you're paying in other ways.
