From ESPN:

quote:
But as always, the Packers are better because Rodgers has somehow improved from a season ago. He completed a handful of passes Thursday night that defied logic -- and the outstretched hands and arms of Saints defenders. His totals: 27 of 35 attempts for 312 yards, three touchdowns and zero interceptions.

"He has set the standard, and he's off to a great start," Packers coach Mike McCarthy said.

When the Saints blitzed, Rogers picked them apart like meat from a chicken wing. When they didn't blitz, he stood in the pocket, surveyed the field, thought about offseason workouts, wondered if he'd locked his car, read the latest Grisham novel and then hit nine different receivers for completions. It was surgical.

Packers are better in 2011
I like how Bowen puts it:

"Doesn’t matter if you are playing solid technique and have good coverageβ€”because both QBs can still beat you."

I think this has to give both defense a little comfort, knowing that both QB's were flawless. Other than Colsten's fumble, I don't think a receiver on either team dropped a catchable pass. And both QB's made no more than 5 bad throws between them. I don't think we'll ever see two QB's play that well in the same game again this season (against two solid defenses).

By the way, if you're on Twitter, you should follow Bowen. He posts articles all the time. His breakdowns are very reader friendly and he's easily the most unbiased analyst I've read on the internet (intelligent too).
