I've seen a lot of people faulting Jimmy G for taking a snap with 14 seconds left on the play clock. Yeah, he probably could have let a few more ticks go but they were outside the 10 yard line and they needed a TD. This wasn't a FG situation where you can really massage the clock. I think the real bad move was the standard kickoff. Don't know why they didn't try a popup kick inside the 10 or some kind of squib kick. That would have easily forced GB to run 5-10 seconds of that 37 that was left.

I thought the same thing when I saw the kickoff.  I was expecting something in the field of play.
