Good Half for Bucky ...

F'em Bucky !!

But probably the best 5 defensively ... Smiler
a well oiled machine today, piles of open looks. Jackson didn't take as many shots in the first half, and the offense was better for it.

Dekker's last flaw offensively will be how he passes to teammates. He tends to hang guys out to dry with his passes, which will get better with a kid with the court sense he has.

the dunk
jackson still a little careless with the ball at times, but he is lightyears ahead of where I thought he'd ever be ... next year I look for him to be a helluva PG. Throw in Marshall and its a position of strength next year IMO.

Nice show of toughness today, really liked the "not gonna be denied today buckeyes, so don't let the door hit u in the arses on the way out" attitude.
Obviously this was a pretty big win. But the thing that means the most to me is the statement. They gave one away in Minny, and that could have taken them down a notch. Affected their confidence. They came out with energy and absolutely blitzkrieged a team that was the only Big Ten team this season to really handle them. To me that's a sign that they believe they can win- their confidence is higher than ever. And from where they started he season, that's significant. Hats off to Ryan and the staff in getting them to believe.
I am actually warming up to FK as a player. He's shown me more this year than I wxpected to see. Has a better feel for the game, and a truer stroke than recent big men at UW. He's longer, too- if he can get stronger, he'll be a pretty dangerous player.
The two incoming freshmen may be what you're looking for. Both are explosive Playrs in the paint, so a little inside-outside action with FK? I like it. Plus Dekker is just scratching the surface.

Who is going to take his place next year?

That's easy, and we've gotten a little taste already this year- Zach Showalter. Pure hustle, physical player, better athlete than Bruiser but not as tall. He's going to b your attack dog out there, pestering bigger guys and abusing the smaller ones. Bo Ryan glue guy to the T.
Zach is the fourth guard this year, and he hardly sees the floor. He will be the 6th guard next year when Gasser and Bronson come in. I just don't see him contributing much of anything.
You're probably right about him as a G.

For that reason, I think they'll have him playing a swing position before it's done. He may not be a forward size-wise, but they'll have to find a way to get him on the floor. That's how. And you can bet your ass that Bo will play him. The history with Zak's Dad, he way the kid plays- that's precisely the kind of kid Bo values on the floor. He also is a pretty smart kid, so he's the anti Evans...
