2nd Touchdown for Michigan....

Michigan receiver clearly catches the ball about the 5yd line....he carries the secured ball across the goal line for a TD. After he CLEARLY crossed the goal line, the O$U player rips the ball away while they're both rolling around on the ground in the end zone.

They reviewed it and said call stands correctly.

The O$U head coach is beside himself screaming at the ref that it wasn't a TD. They should've thrown the fuckin idiot out for that shit. That's a touchdown for 100 years and will be 100 more years in the future.

Eat my shorts Ryan Day you effing idiot.

O$U responded by scoring a TD 14-10 Mich

Great game. Much better than the blow outs that have been, at least to those of us that appreciate good football.  Theyโ€™re going to be the fringe loudmouths that will claim Day needs to go and that we were robbed on the Wilson TD.  Then the other side is going to chirp about the lack of toughness and thatโ€™s why they won.  Truth told my QB was inexperienced and threw 2 picks.  JJ if he didnโ€™t covert the 3rd down he made it so they could on 4th down.

Sadly THE GAME wonโ€™t mean as much anymore.  No divisions it will be highly highly likely that this will be the final regular season game and the BIG championship in back to back weeks in most years moving forward.  Also with the 12 team playoff coming I can see tOSU and Mich playing 3 times a year.  As far as Iโ€™m concerned that will be bad for college football.

I am still a little surprised the other BIG teams signed off on the no division format going forward.  I think a lot of Big Ten and CFB fans would tire really quickly seeing them play two or more times a year.

As for the game, I have the misfortune of living just under an hour to Columbus and holy crap talk about an arrogant and spoiled fan base.  There are a lot of rumblings that Day could be on the hot seat for losing to Michigan.  I am not a big fan of his but he wins 90% of his games and they want him gone.

Ryan Day is 56-7 overall and 39-3 in the Big 10.  Against everyone else but Michigan he is 54-4 and 37-0. He's lost to Michigan 3 times, twice in Ann Arbor.

The other 4 losses are the following games. The 4 teams had a combined record of 50-5. Three of the loses were in the College Football Playoffs to teams loaded with future NFL players.

1. 2022 season - lost to the two-time defending national champions Georgia 42-41 on a missed 50 yard FG at the gun in the CFP semifinals. Georgia was 14-0

2. 2021 season - lost to 12th rated Oregon 35-28 in Columbus. This is the only "bad" loss of his tenure and it was to the 12th rated team in the country. Oregon ended the year 10-4.

3. 2020 season - lost in the National Championship game to Alabama (Waddle, D. Smith, Brian Robinson, Najee Harris) Alabama was 13-0

4. 2019 season - lost to Clemson in the CFP semifinals 29-23. Fields threw an interception in the end zone with less than 30 seconds left. Clemson was 13-1 (Trevor Lawrence and Tee Higgins).

OSU has ended the season ranked 3rd, 2nd, 6th, and 4th and are the #6 ranked team right now. If you fired someone with that record, who else would want the job? You literally have to win every game or risk getting fired.

What you said about who would want that job is the argument I am making with the fans.  They seem to think money will solve everything but I tell them #1 who would want that job if they are on the hot seat all the time and #2 it would eventually hurt their recruiting.  If you have a constant uncertainty why would you go there?

It's like a portion of every fanbase thinks that their school is the only one that is trying to recruit elite players and the only reason they lose is that the coach screws up.

Ryan Day has lost to teams coached by Jim Harbaugh, Nick Saban, Dabo Sweeney, Mario Christobal, and Kirby Smart. Christobal is the only coach among that group that probably isn't a College football HOF coach. It's not like he's getting beat by Paul Chryst or Mel Tucker.
