Wants to be a Packer...

He wants a contract! December will be 10 months since surgery. We see the difficulty with Tonyan regaining explosiveness and heβs currently at 11 months post op. No thanks - Iβm not interested in OBJ.
He best be healthyβ¦.certifiably healthy. If so, Iβd kick the tires.
Why not?
Head case.
he thinks he wants to be a Packer
he's trying to up his ante
not enough bright lights in GB anyway
pass

that is just code for wide reciever
If he is health, why not. Can't possibly be expensive.
OBJ wants someone to give him a flyer this year, why not with the best QB in the game, it can only help him rebuild his stock for next year.
In the end, he'll sign with whomever is open to signing him
If he wanted to be a Packer, he had his chance last year.
Cowboys, Bucs or Chiefs would be my guess.
Iβm in.
Same. After seeing what he did for the Rams in the playoffs I say go for it.
But he could just use the Packers to drive up the price elsewhere again. If I were betting on a single team he signs with I'd say the Bills. I think he can see 2022 LA isn't 2021. Bucs look rough. Von Miller might just lure him in again.
After two ACL tears, just not sure how good he would be for the price tag. Agholor might be another option but maybe just go with who they have.
No thanks, he Antonio Brown 2.0, without dropping his drawers in the Dubai swimming pool.

Isn't Agholor... like... employed?

Whatβs one more?
Pass. And not to OBJ. Just getting him back into football shape would take time...

Then he is signing with Kansas City.
Just another thirsty athlete trying to get into Green Bay.
I say no. Develop our guys. We have vets on the team to guide their growth.
He can have Watkin's snaps.
Or in other words he won't be a Packer.

Just another rumor.

OBJr won't get to play until the playoffs, no matter which team signs him. We are not even using all of our WRs on offense, after three weeks of season play. Amari Rodgers has been relegated to STs and Toure has not really played, that I can recall. Watson rarely has the ball thrown to him, other than shovel passes, on end arounds. Winfree rarely plays, too. If Gute were to sign OBJr, he'd ride the pine alongside Watkins, until he was cleared to play. Can we afford him, especially knowing Aaron Jones cap situation, for next season? I'll say no to OBJr.
Can't hurt to kick the tires to see if he can really play after his injury. But I would really only be ok with it if he can hit the ground running and play. I wouldn't want a situation of when/if he can play when it comes to crunch time with a playoff push and during the playoffs.

OBJ is coming off his second ACL tear and it less than 9 months out right now. They already have two broken down vets (Cobb and Watkins) who were never at OBJ's peak at their best, but aren't much different in terms of what they can give you at this point. OBJ is probably never going to be anywhere near the same guy he was even last year.
As you said, if this team is going to do anything in the playoffs, we need to develop Doubs and Watson. Doubs could easily be 1st team All-rookie this year and Watson is the MVS replacement. At this point with the injuries, OBJ is just another WR you can cover with a safety (Cobb, Watkins, and Lazard) because of lack of speed or elusiveness.
Bigger question for me is what happens if Doubs/Watson are clicking in week 10 along with Lizard? Do you mess with that success to bring in a WR coming off an ACL who will demand attention and want the football?
Don't see it unless an injury occurs or if the development of the rookies doesn't proceed as anticipated.
Even if Watson isn't totally reliable catching the ball, at least he can take the top off the defense as a decoy -- provided Rodgers throws him the ball once in a while to keep the D honest. If Watson doesn't develop, OBJ can't open up the field downfield because he's not as fast, especially after an ACL the first months returning to the field. So, you'd just be adding another short to intermediate guy, which they already have plenty of. I just don't see a huge upside to adding OBJ...
If medical staff deems him fit go for it...we took a risk on Sammy Watkins...

That's not a rumor. It's a fan driven click bait article just like anything you find on heavy.com or wisconsinsportsheroics or dozens of other garbage sites with trash piled on top of trash. The "source" in this article is Bleacher Report. Yeah, another fan driven site.
Speaking of rumors, this is one that just won't die the death it deserves.
It's worse than the Rodgers-to-Denver one!

Dreaming is free, I guess.

Not much of a decoy if they don't have to worry about him catching the ball.
No. Only caveat is if there is a rash of WR injuries. Even then, most likely no.
I have no idea if it's realistic or doable, but if I were Gute I'd put a call in to Cleveland and inquire about Donovan Peoples Jones. He's taken a back seat to Amari Cooper with Brissett under center. Clocks at 4.48 in the 40 and he's only 23 in his 4th season. He might be marginal production wise, but he could be a guy that takes the top off a defense and is still young enough to be coached up. I'd much rather see the FO take a stab at a younger guy with something to prove than a question mark like Beckham.
Forget to post this after the Pats game, but did anyone else catch some of Romo's comments about our WRs during the game? Gave an insight into just how much is going on as far as the WRs and QB "reading" not only what type of coverage the defense is in, but the "leverage" the DBs are showing (which shoulder of the man they are covering is their nose on) and how many yards they are to the sideline, etc. On at least one shot play down the field he commented on the WR moving the wrong way after AR had thrown the ball. Of course he is always going to give the befit of the doubt to AR, but it is a glimpse into the fact that it is more than "you run 15 yards and turn around".

Thats why I suggested Andy Isabella 4.3 in the 40, but it's too late now the Ravens snatched him up. Good idea though about People Jones.
Young fast guy? Um, yeah I think we got that.

I would hazard a guess that he would catch it enough to keep a D a little worried if they saw him streaking down the sideline. The trick is to get Rodgers to throw it to him more than once so the D has it in their heads that he may be about to bust one.
Didnβt OBJ use Packers to up his price last year? No thanks bra, hit the bricks. Unless we have an injury at WR our rooks will be up to speed by then.
Rams have kept OBJβs his locker for him, but has he seen them play lately?
Meanwhile ex-Ram von miller says he talks to talks to OBJ every day and best landing spot would be his current team, the Bills.
