lol… bet it’s for forging their COVID vaccination forms

@ByMikeJones:  NFL has suspended Bucs players Antonio Brown, Mike Edwards and free agent John Franklin three games for violating COVID protocols.

EDIT: my guess confirmed by @RapSheet

@RapSheet: #Bucs WR Antonio Brown and Mike Edwards have each been suspended without pay for the next three games for misrepresenting their vaccination status under the NFL-NFLPA COVID-19 Protocol. They have accepted the discipline and waived their right of appeal.

Can’t wait to hear that unctuous f*** Arians about this

Oh, just wait for the incoming comparisons of this to the Rodgers "immunized" situation.

No comparison between Antonio Brown and Rodgers. I think Rodgers is an idiot, but he didn't fake medical documents.

The players association needed to come down hard on that as well because teams need to be confident in medical information they receive access to (privately) for team physicians to sign off on 7 or 8 figures of guaranteed money. Anything that compromises that could cause long-term problems.

The other consideration is that Brown has had a long history of issues related to domestic violence, assault, etc. If anything, they should have really brought the hammer down more on him

Interesting angle of the Brown, Edwards, and Franklin suspensions......there is a good chance they accepted their suspensions without fighting and not admitting guilt in public in order to avoid scrutiny from the feds.  It is a federal crime to use a fraudulent vaccine card since the CDC logo is included.  While it would seem this is nothing in the scheme of things, the feds typically pick high profile cases as a scare tactic to minor violations to scare the rest of the country.  The IRS has been doing this for years. My guess is their attorneys/agents told these three to take their punishment and get this out of the public light ASAP to avoid further scrutiny.  And the NFL obliged since they also don't want further scrutiny here.

Fines and prison time for fraudulent vaccine cards

Looks like the salary cap next year is likely jumping up another 25.5 million.  I'd imagine that, plus a restructured/extended contract for Rodgers, would give Green Bay quite a bit of breathing room to take care of a few guys and keep this thing together.

That is fantastic news!! I wonder if they will start looking at potential extensions now for some of the key players.

Agreed. They should have suspended them at least for the rest of the season IMO

There's obviously a guy or two that need to be dealt with right away, but GB has some young studs coming up over the next few years that will be very expensive (Alexander, Gary and Jenkins).

That's a great problem to have though.  Excellent job Gutenfarter!

Washington is leading the Vikings by about a game, now, and in the tiebreaker, for the Wild Card. Might as well pull for the WFT, against the Raiders, to give them a cushion over the Vikings' fading chances of making the play offs.

I want the Spermheads to always be around a .500 team.  Why? because that will keep them in the middle of the draft order and they would have to spend huge draft capital to move up.

Cousins is the perfect QB for this scenario. He's not terrible by any measure. He takes up a huge salary cap number without really being at the Rodgers, Mahomes, R. Wilson, Brady level that can lift a team beyond the rest of the talent.

He's the poster child for a 500 team and his stats always look better than he actually is.

And, no matter what, he's their QB next year unless they decide to completely tank. He has a 45 million cap hit next year whether he's on the team or not.
