Although MSU isn't as effective as they once were, they'll still mop the floor with Bucky. JMHO. .

I hope it is a blowout
Badgers will win by 5. They aren't dipping below .500 (hopefully)
Woohoo Badgers up at the half.....
nail bitter.....come on Bucky.
must be the only one watching Bucky..... turn over Badgers.....come on Bucky.
Down 4 and your play is let Vitto Brown drive from the top of the key. Turnover.
UPSET,UPSET,UPSET,
Way to go Bucky.
I'd say no... It wasn't a blowout...
Not the blowout I was hoping for, but I will take it.

Gard owns Izzo.
Think he will be around next year? I don't. Barry didn't like it the last time a tenured coach tried to dump an assistant on him mid season. I'm thinking Bryce Drew, Ben Jacobsen, or Tony Bennett ends up in Madison.
I doubt Tony Bennett would Virginia. They probably pay him better than Wisconsin can. Maybe Rob Jeter will come over from UW-Milwaukee. Last time the Badgers hired a Panther coach it worked out pretty good.
I don't think Jeter would be the hire, just not successful enough.
Jacobsen would be more in-line with what they are looking for in terms of proven coaching acumen, if they move on from Gard. Who knows, they did a nice puff piece on him just recently (by LePay). I guess we will see how the BT season shapes up. Less than .500 won't be a good sign for Gard, and that's too bad since their BT schedule is brutal.
You're right on the pay. The administrative/political panty wastes in Madison don't seem to acknowledge that these sports generate revenue and do so more if your program wins (which requires a top notch head coach).

I could see Bennett making the move if his family has indicated interest in coming back to live in Wisconsin at some point. It would be a 'now or never thing.' I also would put WI's program above Virginia's.
I have to say I am intrigued by Jeter. I think his style would be much more effective in getting the 'Diamond Stone' types. Without researching, I would have to suspect that Jeter and Gard were once both under Ryan. Maybe Gard would be OK with going back to the assistant role under Jeter (doubt it)?
His wife is from North Carolina.
