Funny he calls Bob a realist, anywho, FWIW.

Don't care what the run/pass %'s are, or what the personnel groupings are, just figure out a way to beat NOS.

Then, be a bit healthier and beat DET after the bye. The DET game is on MNF, so that is an extra day in the recovery timeline for those still likely out for NOS - Bakh, BB, Burnett?

Well, Hundley did show a couple of things with the back-shoulder throws and the pitch to Monty. But it would be tough for anyone to get your first game experience against a really, really good D and just after the NFL's best player went down, to say nothing of both starting tackles, your best guard, et al.

I would seriously love to see Ripkowski as a big part of the run game simply because he will get the 3 yards regardless of oline and can pass protect.  I agree with what Fandame said about keeping it simple but it just can't be that frickin' predictable.  Hundley can make the throws, utilize him.

Not a prediction thread, but..... packers 17 - 14.

the Packers defense shuts them down Hundley does just enough to win.

Brees goes home with 3 ints, all to LBs or Safties playing up in the box.

perhaps even a pick-6.

i can still dream, right?

New Orleans is still playing poorly overall on D despite what they did to Detroit. They’re allowing over 5 ypc on the ground and a passer rating of 103. It won’t be easy, but it’s not like Hundley will be facing the ‘85 Bears.

are the only defense in the NFL to not allow a passing TD in the 2nd half...

But their 90 first half points allowed is 3rd most...

They are 4-2, so it's not like teams went into prevent-offense in the 2nd half of games.

Yikes those are gaudy.  I looked up Brees as well just to check it out.  The guy has completed almost 70% of his passes against GB teams.  Granted, he's not faced Dom's defense in every game but it's not been pretty.

It hasn't all been Dom Capers fault either.  I believe a couple of those games were when Bob Sanders was their DC.   The 2 games I remember the Pack getting pretty soundly destroyed in were 2008 and 2014.  That 2014 game was where Rodgers hurt his leg which limited his mobility and once that happened the Pack got blown out.

When Brees sees the Green and Gold defense out there he begins to drool uncontrollably like a hungry dog about to devour a delicious meal.

Me too.  Win this week, take some time off get well and head back to Minny.  By the way, after BH turns the into the next decade plus GB QB Ted will shop #12 to SF or the LAChargers (preferably AFC team) for mucho draft choices and a quality starter or 2. Can you say Wally Pipp?

You cant rule it out.

I just realized Packers will get inside Scouting Report from former Saints QB Joe Callahan. Minimal intel but he may know some hand signals or snap count tendencies of Brew Drees.     edit: Jahri Evans too...

"Packers quarterback Joe Callahan was signed to the active roster on Oct. 16 after being on the practice squad during 2016 and the first six weeks of the 2017 season. Callahan spent a brief amount of time with the Saints in October 2016."

saw Hundley on local GB show last night.  when he's talking he's got a go to word:  obviously.  Callahan said he was only in NO for 10 days last year but that he'd relay anything he could about the offense, had nothing for the defense.

I know we are hopeful that Brett Hundley will do okay at QB. I think he will do fine once things are a bit more settled on the O Line. His teammates are behind him, the coaches are behind him now the fans have to get behind him. I'm on board Brett's bandwagon. GO PACK, GO!

I feel better about Hundley than I ever did about Wallace, Tolzien, and Matt Flynn. Hundley has been here, he knows the system, he knows his receivers, he's a sharp guy, he's mobile, he has arm strength, and he has the confidence.

Dick Rodgers isn't practicing?

Season's over.

After watching Marcellus Bennett drop umpteen passes and Kendricks barely being used, Dick Rod may be our best TE.

umpteen = 4 ?

Hundley has had 3 years in Green Bay.

It's pretty much now or never with him. He's either going to be worth a 1st rounder or he's a career backup.

This is his big shot & he has to know that.

Packers traded up in front of Buffalo to get him in the 5th round. A selection I called a "steal" at the time.

Guess we'll find out what he's made of on Sunday

^ I agree. 3 yrs is a long time in the NFL. Hes had good mentoring.

If Prescott, Trubisky, Brissett etc can come in and win games, Hundley should be able to as well. Im glad he is confident of his abilities, that might be the difference.

One that will be seen for quite a while.
