Story comes complete with dash cam video

A 55-year-old Wausau man was cited Sunday with operating a snowmobile on the roadway after using his sled to make a cigarette run.
A police officer spotted the snowmobile on Stewart Avenue around 6:30 p.m. Dec. 4.

The operator, identified by police as John Grassl, was pulled over a few blocks later near the 400 block of West Street.

“Awe, man. Really?” dash cam audio captured Grassl saying.

According to the police report, Grassl said he began drinking during the 3:25 p.m. Packers game and then headed to the gas station for cigarettes.

Why am I not surprised?    But wait, it gets better:

Grassl is seen on dash cam lighting up a cigarette during the interview with police.

A preliminary breath test showed Grassl blew a .186-- more than twice the legal limit for driving an automobile.

That's a lot of drinks in under three hours.

Unfiltered, too.  Or at least it was back then.

They deal with the harmful effects by drinking themselves into a stupor.  My first drinking experiences (and my first hangover) were in Russia.  Fun times.
