Options for the next few days are obvious. Choi goes down as soon as Jennings is squared away. Sogard gets cut ASAP to make room for either Broxton or Philips.
93 wins
Lots of wheeling going on the next 24 hours. You never know when someone throws a big name at you for one of your spare pieces. Sorry EKB but I suspect Broxton gets traded before he gets back to brew town.
No tears would be shed if Broxton was traded (unless we cut Sogard, then trade Keon for Broxton).
Sogard ain't going nowhere. Key bench player. Left handed bat, Good defense too. Plus Counsell loves him.
Ji-Mon with the double to start the 12th to go ahead!
Gas can Barnes 12th inning close chance.
Brewers Win
Barnes K's the side!!!!!
Woot!
Win with pitching baby.
162-0!
That was fun. Barnes throws an effortless looking 97 mph fastball.
Undefeated....

Good point. I saw his motion and thought he wasn't even bringing it.
Team overcame Sogards ****ty juju today.
I like fat first basemen. Teams need that.
I like fat middle relievers. Teams need that.
Sweet way to start the season !
Movement on Jeffress's fastball was amazing. Velocity was down but any more action and it becomes a big control issue.
Win a few 2-1 games and this team is going places.
Admission.
Watching Alex Rodriguez on ESPN.
Despised the dude for 20 years...you know what? He's kind of a sharp dude (with issues) Kinda like Tiger.
ARod has been fantastic with studio analysis during the playoffs the past two years. He is incredibly baseball smart and a smooth talker. Fun to listen to.
Did they pound the zone?
Counsell needs to sit down with Anderson and teach him how to slide.
Chase Anderson slid home with the Brewers' first run of 2018 but his his face hard on home plate. He walked off but now has his hands on his knees in front of the dugout.

Dude... Barnes is filthy. The Brewers could have a really dominant BP with this group. But Knebel couldnât locate his damn curve again... they werenât jacking him around the yard, but blowing your first save isnât a good look.
Of course, it probably shouldnât have been 1-0. Lots of chances with a clutch hit or two But a strong defensive win. That 5-2-3 DP was not something normally seen in Milwaukee. Great first game. Letâs knock around for the next one...
Anderson started right where he left off in 2017. If he keeps this up heâs a legit ace starting pitcher. Only concern is when he hits and gets on base as bad things seem to happen (injuries). He has to stay healthy and that slide could have been a disaster.
On the other hand, Braun starting right where he left off. Leaving guys on base. Iâd love to know his BA with RISP over the last 150 games or so. Itâs got to be pretty bad.
Cain and Yelich are going to set the table a lot but Braun and Shaw have got to deliver. They didnât yesterday.
Since I don't really care what his BA with RISP is...
His OPS with RISP in 2018
Scoring Position- .500
Scoring Position, 2 outs - 1.000
2017
Scoring position- .689
Scoring position, 2 outs- .683
Not great numbers (especially scoring position).
These stats are not hard to find
Lefty reliever @LtDanJennings has been signed to a 1-year contract. He will wear uniform number 38. 1B/OF Ji-Man Choi has been optioned to Triple-A @skysox. pic.twitter.com/kaNG0g3roG

So you're saying there is no Choi in Brew-ville?
I see what you did there.
Have Chacin our starting pitcher tonight?
Ok I'm done...aint no way I'm seeing this 10:10 EST game.
Brauns first hit of the season is a 3 run HR on an 0-2 count with 2 outs in the top of the ninth down one run. Brewers score 5 runs in the top of the ninth to take the lead 8-6 !
Knebel strikes out the side in the bottom of the ninth ! What an epic comeback.

Like that?
Game winning three run homer in the top of the ninth!
How 'bout them Brewers!
Bad call putting Hand back out there after pitching two innings, (although low pitch count), last night.
Braun and Villar need to have bounce back seasons. If they do, and if the starting pitching can hold up until Nelson gets back, this team is going to be very competitive.
God, I've really missed baseball.
"Ryan Braun strikes again in San Diego!"
Career home run #303 for Brauny, and with 5 RBI tonight, Ryan needs 6 more for 1,000.
A guy assessing the Hall of Fame possibilities for players in the NL Central said, "Braun doesn't have the bat speed he once did."
His bat looked plenty fast crushing that fastball high in the strike zone. And Braun knew he got all of it. If he gets that swagger back, this offense could be very interesting.
I've watched that bomb about five times now.
Uecker originally announced Brauns HR was a swing and a miss, then goes to say get up get up get outta here gone ! On an 0-2 count swing and a miss would have meant game over. Never heard Ueck do that.
Ha! I love the expression of the Padres fans behind the plate. From anticipation of a win to crushed with one swing of the bat!

I watched the replay of the HR several times and I couldn't stop laughing. Especially at the guy in the black jacket to the left of home plate and the guy in the blue jacket to the right. Both were smiling happy then after Braun hit it, the look of horror.

That 9th inning had an RBI by a man named Jesus, a run scored by a man named Christian, Ryan Braun hitting the game winning HR on Passover. Maybe there is a god after all.

The rather "large" blonde woman in the second row cracks me up. She looks so happy, and then, when Brauny sends it into orbit, this look of disbelief covers her face as her mouth opens up to swallow a galaxy. And the guy next to her puts his hands on his head, as in "oh no!"
Braun has really enjoyed some monster home runs at Petco.
God, I love watching that man abuse a baseball. I've probably watched him drill it at least twenty times since last night. Wow wow wow. The man has some real power.
