I don't give a rats ass about these awards, but I found this interesting. MLB pitcher (former Brew-ha) John Axford has tweeted his picks the past few years going 14/15 last year, 11/15 in 2012, and 11/13 in 2011.

Best Picture - 12 Years a Slave

Best Director - Alfonso Cuaron ("Gravity") (I have a soft spot for Cuaron. He did one of my favorite films of all time...Children of Men)

Best Actor - Matthew McConaughey ("Dallas Buyers Club") (Hands down...Sorry again Leo)

Best Actress - Cate Blanchett ("Blue Jasmine")

Best Supporting Actor - Jared Leto ("Dallas Buyers Club")

Best Supporting Actress - Lupita Nyongo ("12 Years a Slave")

Best Original Screenplay - Spike Jonze ("Her") (The music video lover in me is made this choice!)

Best Adapted Screenplay - 12 Years a Slave

Best Animated Feature - Frozen (Unlike the past, this is going against my kids...They love Despicable Me 2 and The Croods)

Best Foreign Language Feature - The Great Beauty

Best Documentary Feature - Twenty Feet from Stardom

Best Cinematography - Emmanuel Lubezki ("Gravity")

Best Score - Gravity (Man...Gravity seems to taking over my early picks)

Best Song - Let it Go (from "Frozen")

Best Editing - Gravity

Best Makeup and Hairstyling - Dallas Buyers Club (could be because I watched it last night and the images are fresh in my mind).

Best Visual Effects - Gravity

Best Costume Design - The Great Gatsby
