71 catches, 972 yards, 13.7 yards per reception, 9 TDs...oh yeah and he missed the first four games of the season. Amazing.

Moss was much better than Beckham stat-wise. He had 69 receptions for 1,313 yards and 17 touchdowns. It's also a whole lot harder to be a DB today than it was in 1998. He more or less singlehandedly created a short-lived national bandwagon following for the Minnesota Vikings overnight (teenaged, middle class white boys who imagined themselves to be inner city rappers, mostly. A Randy Moss jersey was a must-have item amongst that set in the late 90s and early 2000s).
