And that is why "Game winning drives" and "4th Quarter comebacks" for a QB is a useless and meaningless stat to anyone but talking heads on TV.

Rodgers drives Packers to kick a 52 yarder, Crosby chokes.  No 4th quarter comeback.

Brady drives Pats to kick a 54 yarder, Gostkowski drills it.  4th quarter comeback!

Horseshoe is firmly up the Patriots' collective asses.  Even if the Packers manage to right the ship and get to the Superb Owl, they'll get their asses handed to them by New England.

Maybe last year in Seattle was the window slamming shut.

Saban?

The only way he'd come back to the NFL would be if he gets the GM job or if his team comes under scrutiny for violating the rules, like Pete Carroll. TT's doing a good job getting talent on the roster. I don't want to hear about the holes at ILB and OL, every team has holes in the salary cap era. Good coaches just cover them up, bad ones need all the talent to be at an elite level to look good.

I disagree. For a team with Super Bowl aspirations, I think the Packers are woefully under talented. Very few blue chip players and few red chip players either. Despite the problems we are having right now, I think McCarthy has done a good job over the last several years getting the most out of the team. They have had good chemistry and have been able to play at a near elite level for the past 5 years.

TT did a masterful job at building a championship level team, but I think he's been too inflexible with his draft and develop philosophy to put us over the edge. We have one of the best quarterbacks to play the game, but Thompson hasn't given him a good enough supporting cast to win it all.

All that said, I think what's been going on the last few games needs to be blamed on McCarthy. We can't blame the entire collapse on Jordy going down. I don't know if they aren't game planning properly, not making mid-game adjustments, or not getting the most out of the players, but there's something systemically wrong with the Packers. McCarthy better figure it out fast.

God it's fun watching Seattle implode. As bad as losing the NFC Championship game was, and I think that loss is lingering with us this year, to be 1 play away from back-to-back Super Bowl wins and now to be 4-5.

Sweeeeeet.
