Interesting stats on our receivers YAC. I know that the media has been focusing on our lack of the "long ball", but we've got to find a way to hit receivers while they are on the run. Seems like almost all of our completions are to stationary receivers. Gotta find a way to open up the middle of the field for crossing routes .

I believe that's been part of the issue. As a unit the offense needs to learn more patience. A quick strike is nice, but to me there's nothing better than spirit breaking 14 play 80 yard drives for TDs to wear on a defense and break their spirit. So far the Pack hasn't been able to sustain that type of drive very often. Until they can prove to teams they can sustain drives, good/great defenses will continue the same plan to prevent big plays.
I think MM has fallen a bit in love with the long ball. Rodgers may also be in love with it since it gives all sorts of glory in addition to scoring fast. I'd also like to see more sustained drives, a couple screens, some slants and crossing routes. The cross to Jordy has been a back-breaker on more than one occasion. That opens up the deep stuff. I'd also like to see MM take the wraps off Cobb. Let the man play!
