I won’t lie, at times tonight I’ve found myself rooting for the Pacers.  Kiefer Sykes is one of the best players my alma mater has ever produced.  And that Tyrese Haliburton from Oshkosh, he really looks advanced for a 21 year old.  Wish the Bucks had him, he looks like he’s got a bright future.

Didn't go to UWGB (my brother, his wife, and my wife's sister did), but I played on a summer camp team with Tony Bennett for a week. I also played some pickup games against Ben Johnson.

Very cool.  I got the chance to play pickup ball with Tony and Ben as well on separate occasions.  When I got on the court with Tony, I had no idea who he was, we were both 18 years old.  I thought he was just some regular dude, but it didn’t take long for me to realize he was the most skilled athlete I had ever been around. I was so inferior to him it was quite humbling.

Ben Johnson was awesome to play with, he  knew how to set you up to make you look good.  Both Tony and Ben seemed like really good guys but I only knew them a little bit.  I do remember sitting down at lunch with Ben one time and him talking about the future.  2 years later I watched both those guys in the NCAA tournament, that was fantastic to see even though they lost.

I played with them when I used to go to UWSP for summer camps and Dick was still the coach there.

Nwora blows another fucking layup and what should have been an 8 point lead is now 4. Blows a wide open 3.

He might be a nice guy, but god I hate when he gets minutes for the Bucks. He's the most frustrating player on their roster now, especially with DDV gone.

There’s no doubt, Nwora has been a disappointing tease.  He’s got a smooth looking shot that tantalyzes you, but it doesn’t go in as much as you think it should.  Add onto that his below average hoops IQ and he’s not the guy I think the Bucks were hoping for.

Since January 8th, Giannis is 162 for 211 at the line, a .768 clip. I’ll take that from him any day of the week.

He’s scoring 29.4 PPG, with 11.2 RPG and 6.0 APG. Don’t give Nikola the MVP just yet.

Giannis may be the best help side defensive player in history and he's probably the best 7 foot on ball defender in NBA history. To even consider Jokic over him if you are considering offense and defense is ridiculous.

Yes. I know it's a regular season award, but any questions about Giannis being the MVP until shown otherwise should have been answered in the 2021 Finals. Those last 5 games are as good a stretch of combined offense and defense since Russell or Chamberlain.

42-12-4

41-13-6

26-14-8

32-9-6

50-14-2 with 5 blocks.

A combined 70 for 112 from the floor. This does not get talked about nearly enough.

I guess Giannis’ ankle is feeling better.

He’s going to put up 50, and we’re going to maybe win by double digits at home against a 19-39 team.

Indiana is a lot better after that trade.

Rob Pelinka (Lakers GM) probably wants to beat his head against a wall. He had a trade lined up for Hield this past summer and LeBron and Clutch overruled him and forced them to trade for Westbrook.

I really like how Indiana has transformed themselves in basically one trade.  Sabonis is a nice offensive player, but he plays no defense and isn’t equipped to lead a team or be the centerpiece to build around.

Brogdon, Halliburton, and Hield is a really good backcourt and if they can add some size and skill in the frontcourt that might be a playoff team.

I am seriously LMFAO at the Lakers right now.  You could have dealt for Hield that would have been the perfect compliment to LeBron and AD but instead went with chemistry killer and turnover machine Westbrook.  I hope that one title was worth it because LeBron will likely bail or retire and they traded away all of their young talent and draft picks.

Trading AD may help recoup some assets but if they do that it’s a 20 win team at best.

Played make it take vs Terry Porter at one of those camps.  Got the ball first, scored, second shot ended up 13 rows up.

Never saw the ball again, got beat 10-1.

I was one of the kids that rebounded the ball for him while he was shooting. a couple of times.

The stations that Dick had set up were demonstrated by Porter. There was an entire station where all you'd do was so ball fakes for 60 seconds in a row. That's the level of detail Bennett had at his camps.
