Watching this and the BCS championship game.

After 3rd and goal screen pass to Jackson there was a false start by Bulaga with 1:06 left. The clock obviously was running at the time.

They enforced the penalty and then spotted the ball. The clock remained stopped.

Here's the question. Shouldn't there have been a 10 second runoff and the clock started when they placed the ball?

The game clock runoff can be nullified if the team uses a time-out. The half automatically ends if the infraction occurs with less than ten seconds remaining and the violating team has no time-outs to use.


Nobody called a timeout.
