Thanks for setting all these up, YA.
See Gray (OL) took the offer from the Jets to be on their PS.
I think @RobDemovsky had this bit Reggie Gilbert has signed to the PS. In my opinion, he should be on roster.

Thought there was a slim possibility he'd get claimed.
#Packers have signed rookie WR DeAngelo Yancey to their practice squad, per source. He was a 5th-round pick this spring.

Izaah Lunsford signed.
Right now PS roster looks like this (unconfirmed)
Adam Pankey OL
Reggie Gilbert OLB
Joe Callahan, QB
Derrick Mathews ILB
Kofie Amichia OL
Donatello Brown CB
Deangelo Yancey WR
Izaah Lunsford just signed.
Max, Dupre, or Clark. Room for two of them. But one of them will be going elsewhere. If I had to choose. Dupre and Clark stay. I would think Dupre is drawing some interest. I can't imagine Clark is but he has the measurables that draws attention.
WR Max McCaffrey will not be returning to the #Packers.

Don't be mad, Max
Sounds like Max might be a little angry. He did everything GB asked him to do. So I get the frustration. But guys like Max shuffle around a lot until something clicks. Until it doesn't. It's hard to make anyone's 53. The last thing you want to do is start burning bridges.
WR Malachi Dupre will not be returning to the #Packers on the practice squad, according to a source. He is looking elsewhere at this point.

WR Montay Crockett will not return to the #Packers as a member of the practice squad, according to a source.

What about Clark - any word on him?
If Janis is kept on the roster, why would you come back?
I wish I could like that post 1,000 times
He outplayed Janis and he knows it.

WR Clark added to PS along with S Whitehead. That makes 10: QB Callahan WR Yancey WR Clark OL Amichia OL Pankey CB Brown OLB Gilbert ILB Mathews DT Lunsford S Whitehead
Per Packers.com ....G Kofi Amichia, CB Donatello Brown, QB Joe Callahan, WR Michael Clark, LB Reggie Gilbert, DT Izaah Lunsford, LB Derrick Mathews, G/T Adam Pankey, S Jermaine Whitehead and WR DeAngelo Yancey
Janis is a ST demon. And he's got one route mastered after 4 years.

Max doesn't make it but Janis does? This is BS.
What about Taysom Hill.?
Hill signed by New Orleans along with local HS kid out of Benicia CA Austin Carr.
I have this image in my mind of Ted Thompson sitting in his office, feet up on his desk, laughing his head off over fans freaking out about keeping Janis! over McCaffrey.
Any WR that has a chance to play with a future HOF QB in the next year or two and chooses not to is rong. If you have to spend a year learning what they want that is a small price. Nelson is getting senior with Adams and Cobb both possibly moving being a tallanted smart WR may pay well next year.

Why would you keep Janis over McCaffrey?
Speed, special teams. I don't always get it, but we do need speed. I like having Clark back. With coaching, I think he's an intriguing prospect.
Because FYTW?
(F*** you, that's why. And I'm not saying that's my reasoning.)
Fed. Just answer the question.
ChilliJon posted:And he's got one route mastered after 4 years.
With that aptitude he's got a long career in the USPS ahead of him.
FYTW isn't a perfectly good rhetorical answer?
I'm reminded of the old Bud Light commercial (sadly I can't find it on Youtube) of a referee calling holding, and the ref continues by saying, "We could call holding on every play, but we picked this particular important play, just to tick you off."
FYTW is a variant of that. And to be fair, Ted Thompson probably has what he considers a real justification for keeping Janis! and cutting McCaffrey. And keeping Kyler Fackrell.
Can I get your answer?
Keeping Fackrell
**** that
I bet it's temporary.
TT this...TT that...the coaches have a major say in which players they want. Just like TT got blamed by all the Favre worshippers, when it was mostly MM who didn't want to coach him anymore.

Why would you keep Janis over McCaffrey?
Special Teams. He's one of our best players there. The same reason we kept Jarrett Bush for so long.
These bottom tier guys are going to get more play time on ST than anywhere else. Need to quit thinking about their WR skillset because it doesn't matter.
For those of you complaining about Fackrell the answer is the same. He led the team in ST tackles last year. That's why he's on the team.
MM always says bubble guys make the team based on ST. But it seems nobody wants to believe him.

Wait, what?
I have it on weak authority that Kofi Amichia is the biggest bust since <something ... something> Cheeseburger!
Goddamn Ted must be having another stroke.
Dum Capers
Will they add Ringo?
Christian Ringo was claimed on waivers by Cincinnati Bengals, source said. So #Packers lost Ringo and Brian Price on waivers.

Big Guys that can move are at a premium in this league. Too bad they lost both.

Max is back on our practice roster. Maybe Hundley likes him better than Nelson.
