Just heard the Packers are the home team for the Super Bowl so they get the choice of Uniforms (Home or Away)

I think it just alternates.

I don't believe in supersticions. However some of the players might. If I was MM, and felt like the majority of players felt a preference towards the whites because of the current streak, I'd go white. But personally I'd go with the green tops.

I think it would be real swell of them to go with purple jerseys just so the folks in Minnesota can see what that looks like.
While they have won 3 straight with the white, they were 7-1 at home in the Green(ok, one of those games they were wearing the navy blue throwbacks)

Tempting fate Mike - last 6 SB winners have all worn white. I guess the last time they were in the SB they were the victims of a Super Bowl streak getting broken, hopefully this time they are the ones breaking the streak.

Green's the right call. Subliminal message to the players, and an overt one to the fans: git yer butts down to Dallas! 
I greatly prefer the green but it's hard to deny how well they've been playing in white. I also think (with absolutely nothing to back it up) the Steelers play better in their black jersey.

I think I was told a long time ago that it depends on which team is closest to the Super Bowl stadium. In this case, Green Bay is closer to Arlington than Pittsburgh, just as Green Bay was closer to New Orleans than New England, and Denver was closer to San Diego than GB. From what I've heard, the years alternate. In Super Bowl I the NFL (the Packers) were the home team in LA, so they wore green. Ever since, all the odd-numbered Super Bowls have the NFL (now NFC) as the home team. GB wore green in I and XXXI, wore white in II and XXXII.

jersey color is [important] IMMHCO. years ago the coeboys won....a lot when wearing white jerseys, so the eagles, skins and cards would wear their whites at home to force the cowboys to wear blue...and the cowboys lost the game almost every time. it was/is called "the blue jersey jinx"

I think it'd be sort of cool, if there wasn't a "white" jersey. We wear green, Steelers wear black???? Would it be too much like the XFL???? I did hear a stat that said the Steelers are 12093872190321737127321-1 when they wear their black jersey.
