I'm probably going to get blasted for this but, oh well.

Lacy hasn't looked good this year.   When he gets in space, all is well; however, he isn't doing a good job of getting what's in front of him.   He looks indecisive and is doing a lot of dancing behind the line.

He needs to trust his vision, pick a hole, and hit it full steam.

Just in case anyone is "feeling sorry" for the Bears. A small reminder why this is a great rivalry & NO MERCY is the standard.

  • Bears 61, Packers 7[14] (December 7, 1980) – In the game, the Bears scored eight offensive touchdowns. After the Packers had suffered the second most lopsided defeat in their history, Bart Starr charged across the field to confront Bears coach Neill Armstrong. Starr was upset because Bears defensive coordinator Buddy Ryan had the Bears blitzing from all angles in the fourth quarter, even after the Packers inserted backup quarterback David Whitehurst with the score 48-7.[15] "Bart Starr was upset," Armstrong said after the game. "He did the talking and I did the listening. He said he'd rather not hear what I had to say, something to that effect, and he left." Two years later, Bill Tobin, the Bears' vice president of player personnel at the time, revealed that he had been instructed by general manager Jim Finks during the off-season to study film and decode the Packers' signal system for relaying plays to the quarterback. Tobin, who had been in the Packers' front office during the Devine years, had been fired by Starr in 1975 as part of a wholesale housecleaning. "I went at it like a tiger does good meat," Tobin said at the time. "We wanted 100 points," defensive end Dan Hampton said. "It couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of pricks."

Lacy hasn't looked good this year.

He's averaging just 13 attempts per game. He needs attempts to get it rolling, all power backs do. Also, he's averaging just under 4.1 ypg on the year so not sure what you are expecting.

Nearly 4.9 ypg in the last 5 games.

"feeling sorry"?  oh hell no.  I'm still laughing and enjoying it today!  That all the chitcago sportswriters want everyone fired is just icing...   on the cookie, I guess.

cheers!!  whatta nite at Lambeau!!

If the 61-7 beat down had happened within the past few years and those Bear coaches and players were still there, then I'd say sure, run up the score. Paybacks are hell. But MM handled it just right last night.

I remember the Patriots 16-0 season when Belichick would run up the score every freaking week. It was all about setting records and ensuring deification for BB, Tom Brady and Robert Kraft. Hell, even the great Joe Gibbs refused to shake his hand after the Patriots laid 50+ on the Redskins and Brady played deep into the fourth quarter. Karma is a bitch and the football gods evened things out come Super Bowl time.

There is no question Rodgers could have passed for eight or more TDs and the Packers score over 70 given the way that game was going last night. The records were there for the taking. Again, no need. For all of MM's faults he has consistently demonstrated he is a class act who isn't about embarrassing the opponent or the league or bitching when the team gets screwed (i.e., Fail Mary game). Would that icons like Belichick or media favorites like Jimmy Harbaugh or Pete Carroll set such an example.

I am proud to support a team with leaders like MM and TT who respect the game and respect their opponents. Records are great but, stealing a phrase from soccer, "Performance is temporary. Class is permanent."

Not just Cutler, the entire Bears team. They're not going to win another game this season.

I keep refreshing the news waiting to see if Trestman is fired today.

That game last night is a classic "head coach firing" game. That Bears team was so unprepared & they had no fight in them once they got down 14-0.

A team that unprepared, after having 2 weeks to prepare for an opponent & not just ANY opponent but your #1 rival.....Trestman is a dead man walking.

Running a train on the Bores doesn't impress me.

An Iggles team sans Napoleon Dynamite at home, will be tougher than VaJayJay...however, if we are who we say we are, we will win that game...and I am OK with winning it close.

We should curb stomp the Queens, but the next real test will be how we fare against the the Belicheats. Can we beat a good team late in the season?

Last nights game had the exact same vibe of the "Chilly axed" 31-3 game in 2010. Bears could hand walking papers to Tucker and the child molester today and I wouldn't the shocked.

I really thought Cutler was going to put it all together these next few seasons. He has plenty of talent around him, and all the physical ability at his disposal to do it. Hell, early on in this season, he showed glimpses of that possibility.

I have no idea what the **** I was thinking.

You all realize the McCaskey's don't pay coaches/players to go away, right. Trestman and Tucker survive the season and I wouldn't be surprised to see both back next year. At least Trestman anyway.

My brother and I were sitting in Soldier Field that day. Bears will still throwing in the 4th quarter. Then a couple of drunken Bears fans pissed on the backs of our seats. Nice place.
