Just caught a bit of Harlan on 1250 in Milwaukee, and he addressed this. He said it's all about Lambeau. In 1999 they knew they had to upgrade the stadium immediately because they were falling behind the league. The fact that they do not have share the stadium revenue with the rest of the teams being a huge reason. Said Lambeau essentially went from a venue open 10 days a year to one open 365 days a year. I wasn't living here at the time, but Harlan said the 8 month process to get the votes were some of the hardest he ever experienced. He does not think they would have gotten the votes had it not been that they were recently coming off a SB win.

Thx cuqui and I agree, I'd rather not have the Pro Football HOF in GB

Its cool that the Packers are also expanding the parking lots too - adding more space south of the stadium around Barberry Ln.

They used it for the press and TV last year and that opens up more of the main lot for tailgating.

Go Packers
