The D has the makings of something special. They showed it last night, holding Seattle to one TD and making a game-saving... aw, eff it. It's too depressing for even a positive spin on our D. Maybe in a day or two... or week or two... or...

I said this after the CHI game. Never in a million years would I have thought last year that by now we'd have a top flight D and a struggling O.

Theyve definitely looked better but lets see how we do the next few weeks vs Brees and Schaub

Last year's defense was eaten alive by the likes of Josh McCown, Kyle Orton and Josh Freeman. They've definitely improved with the infusion of new talent. It will only get better once Mike Neal and Davon House come back. If the offense can ever figure it out (they eventually did in 2009's first half sackfest), this team will go far.

I think Mike Neal sucks.

Looked good in preseason, and he's injury free for the first time since his rookie year. He's going to make an impression this year if he can stay healthy.

Hawk sure seems to have a new fire under his belt, he is playing with more emotion then I can ever remember, almost wreckless emotion.

Hawk played a great game. And I'm not his fan.

That seems to be his style, follow up god-awful seasons with an above average season the very next year.

Packers with the 3rd ranked total defense through 3 weeks. And I think they will just get better.

Packers cannot play a lot of zone against good QBs like Brees I don't know why they try

Capers has shown a tendency to lay back and play zone against elite QBs. He did it a ton in 2009 when playing against guys like Warner, Roethlisberger and Favre, and it bit them in the ass badly. Hoping that he'll be able to feel more confident in the pass rush as the season goes on. Neal is back from suspension as of tomorrow, and House is getting really close (moved up to questionable this week). Let's also not forget that this was an extremely desperate Saints team (as evidenced by their chippy, dirty style out there).
