INDIANAPOLIS – University of Wisconsin receiver Nick Toon laughed when asked about his dad Al. The former New York Jets star receiver sits on the Green Bay Packers' board of directors and Nick was asked whether his dad is politicking being the scenes.

“Not that I know of,” Toon said with a smile. “It’s obviously a unique situation to have a dad who played in the NFL and now is on the board of directors for the Packers.
“It’s cool, but we’ll see what happens come April.”

Toon measured at 6-foot-2 and 215 pounds, ran the 40-yard dash in 4.54 seconds and had a vertical jump of 37.5 inches. He will do the rest of the drills at UW's Pro Day on March 7. He said his left foot has recovered from surgery to repair a stress facture before the 2011 season.

Route-running and size are Toon’s strengths, but was the 40 time enough to answer questions about his speed?

“I think first and foremost you want to have good hands,” Toon said when asked about his strengths. “I think I have great hands. Your job as a receiver is to catch the ball. I think I do a great job of that. The other thing is I think I’m a complete player, polished in a lot of aspects of the game. Obviously no one’s a perfect player, but right now I don’t think I have any glaring weaknesses.
