Packers' Engel named NFC assistant athletic trainer of year

The Packers’ Bryan “Flea” Engel was named the NFC’s assistant athletic trainer of the year for last season.

Engel, who just finished his 17th season with the team, received the award last week at the NFL scouting combine.

Just think how many injuries the Packers would have had if they did not have the Assistant Athletic Trainer of the Year keeping everyone healthy.

Charles Woodson was on the radio with Wilde yesterday and mentioned Engel. Wilde asked him about injuries and trainers, doctors, strength and conditioning, etc... Woodson essentially said injuries happen and to blame any teams staff is stupid.

Woodson also had some strong comments about the league wanting to police the use of the 'N' word.

I tend to agree with Charles; but there is no shortage of weapons-grade stupid fans who absolutely NEED to blame someone or fire somebody...

It is all right for everyone outside the Packers orginization to say injurries are part of the game and the Packer injurry problems the last couple of years has been just random  satistical noice.

The Packers themself thought need to do everything they can do to find out if there is something more going on.
