Attempted to watch pre-game, lasted 5 minutes.  

Brad Jones has actually stepped up on special teams. I'm not terribly concerned about Jarrett Bush being inactive.

 

Really not too enthused about Perry being inactive. The front seven has got it working with the rotation lately, it really sucks to see that it's gonna be disrupted today.

Stream WTMJ, just leave the TV on for the pretty pictures.

If Elliot can get the jump like he was showing pre-season he'll be good for some limited pressure but he's probably not going to get that bull rush like Perry has been applying.  I don't think it's catastrophic, I just hope they don't go back into the base they ran early in the season.  If it's going to be the highway crew hopefully it's Hawk and Barrington on a limited basis.

Elliot seemed to have a good bull rush in the preseason.  I think he could do a decent job on subbing in for Perry for 1 game.

 

I agree, let's not go back to the 2-5 ever ever again. 

So, my 96 year old Grandpa who lives in Stevens Point suffered a stroke last weekend. My Mom and I spent time with him at St Joe's in Marshfield this week.

His recovery, and extent of recovery, is limited. We understand about 30% of what he says, but man, you talk Packers with him, and you understand it all. His eyes light up and he still knows his Packers.

Grandpa's time is limited, and I was torn to have to come back to Idaho yesterday. My two brothers are with him today and watching the game with him in Marshfield today.

I dedicate today's game to Grandpa, as I am sure many x4 people can relate, and hope our last days are centered on God, Family, and the Green Bay Packers!

Looking forward to seeing "The Sackmaster" get some plays on defense. He destroyed 3rd- and 4th-string tackles in preseason, but I'm definitely curious to see him against real NFL players (even if they're Vikings).

Elliot is a player who should make a huge jump from year 1 to year 2. Kid is a string bean and seriously needs an off season in the weight room. But he has natural pass rush skills and great use of hands when engaging the blocker. He could be a real good one.

I think Floyd being out for the Vikes is significant.  He's a pretty decent DT.  Also, I wonder if McCarthy is being a little cautious with Perry and Bush, making sure they're healthy(ier) for next week's game.  The Pack should be Minnesota today, even if not at full strength.  But you never know.

I think he'll get a slight boost from a Packer victory today.

All the best to your family sir. I myself have had a few health problems this week (although obviously nowhere as significant as your Grandpa's) and a Packer win would be a huge pick-me-up. I'll be thinking of you all today.

I don't know what to expect from Jayrone Elliot. He made a lot of hay against people that aren't on 53 man rosters right now. Hopefully some of that success translates to the regular season...we shall see.

 

I think Clay still plays inside in the base. Neal's a somewhat accomplished pass rusher in his own right. I'm just concerned that taking Perry out of the rotation means more playing time for everyone else...keeping everyone fresh becomes more of a concern.

I don't know why, but this game has had me nervous all week

No nerves here...although you do worry if they're looking past Minnesota towards the Patriots.

 

I know MM takes a one game at a time approach, but how can the players not take these guys a bit lightly?

I'm sure you've had to up your alcohol intake to combat the ravages of anxiety.

Kalil is horrible, let Elliot get some snaps against him and see what he can do.
