++++ Romeo Doubs, Watson, Sims, Emmanuel Wilson, Jacobs, Evan Williams. The Kraft under Center play, Love blocking for Wilson, Defense, 3 fumble recoveries. Reed. Nixon with a nice return. Solid complementary football by the Packers, today!

----They ran through us, especially on hurry up offense.  Interception when Melton slipped. Gotta root for Dallas over the Lions. No pick for X.

+ Love, Sims, Wilson, Doubs, Brooks (both of them), Williams, MLF's play-calling, defensive effort and turnovers

- Kicking continues to be an issue but MLF again expressed confidence in the kicker.

Most complete effort of the season and Love appears to be approaching his level of late last season.

— Narv still sucks.

+ Love.  His accuracy was much better today, he didn’t try to do too much, he went through his reads and his decision making was much better than last week. Loved (no pun intended) seeing him throw the ball away on that first down play when the DL was about to hit him.

+ Doubs. I don’t know what happened last week but props to MLF for the way he handled it and props to Doubs for putting the distraction behind him and moving forward.

+  Watson. Nice to see him healthy again. He’s fun to watch. One thing I noticed about Watson is that he’s the happiest guy on the field when one of his teammates scores. That’s nice to see especially when all of the WRs are fighting for passes.

+ Defense. They struggled during the end of the first half but they were mostly solid the rest of the game. And three turnovers!

@ByRyanWood:  Christian Watson said his 44-yard TD wasn't in #Packers game plan. From sideline, they saw how Cardinals weren't following Watson deep, and Matt LaFleur dialed up play.

"As soon as we called it," Watson said, "I don't want to be cocky or anything, but I knew it was a touchdown."

That's an interesting observation that the Cards weren't following Watson deep. That would appear to be bad coaching on the Cards' part if you don't follow the speed guy down the field. Maybe they thought his ankle was still a real problem or that Love preferred to throw shorter, but I'm glad MLF recognized it and took advantage!

Not related to game, but a potential +/-  :  Maxx Crosby clearly wants out of Las Vegas, and now that the Lions have lost Aiden Hutchinson, the Packers should help out their own pass rush and stymie the Lion's attempt to add an equally talented game-wrecker at the edge by doing what they can to try and acquire him.  Right now, the Lions are at the top of the NFC heap.  I never thought Goff would maintain a consistent level of sound play.

If you don't make Goff move his feet, he'll kill you. That's why Love is a better guy long-term - Love can make plays on the move. Goff has never been good when he has to avoid pressure and that's the key to slowing down the Lions offense. Goff also doesn't have the elite arm talent to make tightly contested throws (which is why the Rams sold the farm to ship him off for Stafford). The Cowboys defense right now is one of the worst units I've seen in the last decade and generates no pass rush whatsoever (largely due to missing about half their preferred defensive starters due to injury). They are missing Micah Parsons, Demarcus Lawrence, Eric Kendricks, DaRon Bland, Jordan Phillips, Marshawn Kneeland (2nd rounder this year), and two other guys on defense. When you are missing 8 of your preferred 12-14 guys, you are likely to get steamrolled.

Don't read too much into the Lions offense from yesterday's performance. It's like they were facing a team sitting all their starters in a preseason game. Goff was very Kirk Cousins-esque in that game. If you let him go through his progressions, he'll almost always make the right read - and his receivers were often running wide open.

It's not the Packers MO to make the types of trades it would take to get Crosby. I think they'll ride or die with Gary and Van Ness and expect they'll get better as the season goes along.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Lions pull the trigger though. They haven't won a title in almost 70 years and their optimum title window with this group is probably this year and next since some many of their young guys are going to get much more expensive in about 2026. Hutchinson might be done as a superstar level guy forever and it's probably going to be until 2026 for him to return to being a good player.

Williams just "knows how to play" ...things you can't teach.

Football instincts - just like McKinney. The most elite "football instincts" player I've ever seen on the Packers was Charles Woodson. Ed Reed and Tyron Mathieu were a couple of others with similar skills. Williams and McKinney aren't at that level, but they have more football instincts than any Packers defender since Woodson (R. Douglas was one of those types of guys too).

Agree 100%, and would add that Woodson had superior athleticism to match his elite instincts.

I may be wrong, but it also seems that Cooper "instinctively" makes plays that Quay Walker has and does not.

I'm sure being a rookie, Cooper is not nearly as "assignment sure" as all the great LBs to come through GB over the past 14 seasons, guys like AJ Hawk, Jake Ryan, Brad Jones, Blake Martinez, etc., but I'd sure like to see him on the field more and more as the season moves on.

Fortunately, it appears Jeff Hafley sees it the same way as Coop had 38 snaps yesterday compared to McDuffie's 26 and Wilson's 14.

I also see that Stokes was limited to 16 snaps compared to 38 for Evan Williams in yesterday's contest.

Hafley's willingness to play the better performer is a refreshing change from his predecessor.

The Murray keeper that Williams sniffed out was a great play. How many times in the past have we seen the DE, CB, and everyone on that side of the field crash inside going for the fake and leaving that play wide open like a parting of the Red Sea?

I'm sure it was drilled into their heads all week that AZ may run that play in a short yardage situation, but Williams stayed with his assignment and wasn't fooled. Really good football/situational awareness. Especially for a Rookie with limited experience. It's early but I like what we've seen from him so far.

Williams wasn't fooled at all, but if you watch the replay, Van Ness crashed almost all the way to the right side of the offensive line.

Should've drafted Evan Williams in the 3rd round instead of Hopper. Would've broke the 3rd round bust streak

They stole Evan in the 4th round. Lucky he was still there.

+ NFC Win....can't stress how important that was

He was supposed to.   He had the RB and Williams had the QB.  The two of them together played it perfectly and it was the perfect defense to defend that play.

LVN crashed and took away the RB option and Williams was there waiting for the QB.    Three great performances on the play, LVN, Williams, and Hafely.

100% this.   Next step in this process is for him to switch roles with Walker.   Cooper should be getting 100% of the snaps and Quay should fall down to the next tier.
