No reason to believe they will win...even at home.  They're pretty injured still, especially on the OL now.   Until they prove they can win without Rodgers, I'll stick with the opponent.

Falcons 20

Packers 13

I think this is a winnable game for GB. Atlanta has a terrible run and their pass rush is the worst in the league. Flynn will have more opportunities to complete passes.

Packers 24

Falcons 20

Gonna be quite cold, so Packers win.

Please, MM and his team hate the cold as much as Ari. or Mia. It's been a long time since the cold helped the Packers win.

ATL may be the one other team in the league as beat up as GB. They were the 1st team officially eliminated (last week) from the playoffs. I can see them rolling over in the cold and snow if GB can get the early lead.

That's a mighty big IF.

Random predictions:

* Due to injuries, McCarthy mixes up the offensive line with Newhouse as the starting Center.  He whiffs every snap.

* In an effort to show improvement with special teams coverage, the Packers tackle Micah Hyde inside the 10-yard line.

* Flynn throws a bullet pass with such velocity that a mild breeze is able to suspend it in the air for 5.3 seconds.

* MM runs Lacy up the gut against a rare 11-man front.  Lacy picks up 4 yards.

* First injury of the day is a neck injury to Jonathan Franklin who violently shakes his head "no" when asked if he injured his neck.

* First Falcons injury is to Matty-Ice after Pickett triple-dog dares him to lick the flag pole, ala "A Christmas Story."

* Following the game, TT defies league rules and trades a first round pick to the Falcons for practice-squad QB Seth Doege due to success of both the Favre trade and a fondness for Texas Tech quarterbacks.  TT has no comment when informed he could have signed Doege directly off of the practice squad.

* John Kuhn touches the ball, the crowd shouts "Kuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhn!"

* A Packers tight end will drop a catchable pass.

* A.J. Hawk will make a tackle 8 yards downfield from the line of scrimmage.

* Jordy Nelson will defy his TravelWisconsin ad and wish he was in Kansas.

* Mason Crosby will kick the ball into the upright.

Had the early lead vs DET. Had the early lead vs MIN.

What is going wrong in Atlanta ? They are Hurt but no were near as bad as the Packers. Are completely depended on those 2 big receivers they have that are or were hurt?  Or are they playing a tuff schedule? Or has missing their starting tackle hurt their o line really bad?

In a nutshell, injuries decimated the Falcons as bad as it did the Packers, Texans, and a few other teams this season. Where they differ is their lack of depth.

We're likely to see a team similar to the Packers; a turnstile OL, and very little to no production from the TE on offense; a weak DL with little pass rush, no LB production, and a secondary that can't cover on defense.

Most, if not all of the Falcons' woes are self-inflicted; stemming mostly from the picks they gave away when they drafted Julio Jones. The Packers' backups are way more talented, although they sure haven't been playing up to their potential.

Yah ever wondered about the unforgivable sin?  Well, that's it!  Booing the Packers at Lambeau!  I am with you on this Tdog.  However, anywhere else, they get what's coming to them.

Guys on NFC Playbook were talking about this game and Shaun O'Hara was brutal to Flynn (without naming him) implying the Lions weren't even trying to disguise their blitzes, ran the same one THREE TIMES and Flynn never checked out of it. Also how piss poor both offensive lines have been, with numerous examples of idiotic play. Showed a play where the Bills had seven on the line and dropped all but TWO blitzers, and those were the outside edge guys who got home. Doubt that Capers will do anything that innovative.
