Last year AJ Hawk "managed only 53(tackles) in 14 starts".

He definitely needs someone pushing his ass and tailgating him right in his rear view mirror. It shouldn't be that way, but it seems when another player is right about to replace him, Hawk starts playing better.

YUP! Surprised by that. He appeared to be very self starting when he was drafted.

Leave AJ alone.

Bishop only had 90 solo tackles in fewer games and DJ Smith only had 32 solo tackles in a fraction of the playing time!

part of AJ's poor showing in 2011 was tied to the anemic DL

We'll see how he responds in 2012, and I am guessing Capers takes him off the field in passing situations

It's so legal for the Oneidas to sell Cigarettes near Kaukaunma.

Apparently neither Bishop nor DJ were affected by that line to the same extent. Perhaps they are better at taking on blockers.

They are much better at shedding blockers; clearly AJ wears too much stickem

FYI - Matthews, Hawk and Walden all saw their production drop in 2011

When you don't get sacks or interceptions and you don't force fumbles, you better be either a tackling machine or great in coverage.

Tackles, TFL, FF, Sacks, coverage, etc....AJ excels at none of them.

Don't forget that he is one of the worst blitzers evah.

"Following Matthews in pressures (defined as the total of sacks, knockdowns and hurries) were Walden (26½), Bishop (20), Raji (19½), A.J. Hawk (15½), Jarius Wynn (10), Woodson (seven), Jarrett Bush (five), Jones (4½), D.J. Smith (four), C.J. * Woodson led the team for the second straight year in missed tackles with 18, two fewer than last season. He averaged 9.3 misses in his first four years.

He was followed by Williams (17), Hawk (15), Peprah (12), Shields (12), Burnett (11), Bishop (10), Walden (six), Raji (five), Francois (four), Smith (four), Wynn (four), Pickett (three), Zombo (three), Bush (two), Collins (two), Jones (two), Neal (two) and Jamari Lattimore (one).

So Mike Neal had 3 combined tackles and 2 missed tackles last season

When the second-highest and two of your top four tacklers are safeties, that's not good.
