Hoping to see a lot of Packer gear this Saturday. Well, I've finished up working past few days in Oakland and decided to stick around to catch the Packers play the niners. I am looking for tickets now (ticket exchange) and the prices seem to be reasonable.

For those of you who have been to Candlestick before, how is parking? Website say there is game day parking available for $30. Do I need to get there pretty early for a spot? It would suck to be at the game four hours early by my self, but oh well. If you know how things are on the game day parking, advice will be much appreciated.

They better win. I have a streak going, never been to a losing game at opposing teams stadiums, yet. Post up if you are attending

Funny, I also have an undefeated record when I attend Packers road games (9-0). Hopefully we can keep it up.

I'm headed there with a few other Packer fans and we are tailgating (probably arriving in the parking lot around 1:30 or so. You can get parking up until game time if needed, but expect to pay at least $40 (more likely $50) since it is a playoff game.

Candlestick is the WORST stadium to get out of after a game (especially if nobody leaves early). There are only two ways out (since the bay is one side and a big hill on the other) so it gets really backed up. You are better off saving a few beers in the car for after the game and chilling out for a bit. It takes at least an hour to get out of the parking lot and on to the freeway from my previous experiences (been there 4 times).
I'm taking BART from the Pittsburg station and then a bus from Balboa Park to Candlestick. The traffic in San Francisco is always a nightmare to deal with, and I have no desire to fight with the crap I'd expect deal with coming out of a major sporting event on a Saturday night. My goal is to get in about an hour before the game, and then get out ASAP (I'd expect some surly gangbangers to be prowling the concourses and parking lot looking for a fight, particularly if the Packers win).
There will still be some wannabe gang banger riff raff, but not as much as the pre-season. The game has the potential to be more rowdy since it is the playoffs and it is a Sat night game so people will be drinking all day.

I plan on wearing a jacket over my Packer shirt after the game so I can be incognito. Not worth all of the verbal BS that will go on after the game (win or lose).
