And he fixed that two ways:

One concern I have is a possible dropoff in corner from the SB team. Tramon is uncertain (injury), Shields had a subpar "sophomore slump" kind of year, and Woodson is another year older.

Corner is crucial.

Of course, none of the above disregards the large improvement made by a front seven that puts much better pressure than did last year's unit.

As in 2007, the Giants defense came through in the big games. As ours did against the Bears in the previous years NFCCG.

I never said they didn't come thru in big games, however season long statistically and in theory they were not that good. The numbers prove it.

That had nothing to do with it. How many dropped passes, fumbles, etc. does our QB have to go through? AR12 has always handled the "heat" very well.

The Packers have nobody to blame except themselves for losing to the Giants. They were the better team except on that day. The Giants didn't do anything special except play sound, solid, fundamental football. Congrats to them. Sucks for us
Yup, and I'm guessing Patriot fans are saying the same thing.

In the Packers case, the entire team came out flat. Still think Philbin's son passing weighed heavy on every player and coach.

GD should become a politician(or maybe not). Thompson went all out in the draft and in FA(for him) to fix the defense. Almost seemed as if he was drafting for NEED Smiler

Can't wait to see the results.

AR was not on top of his game that day. Root cause - two weeks off!!!

Absolutely horrible whiff by Clifton on that play.

The defense was good enough to win 15 games, it just didn't leave the offense much margin for error and they picked the worst possible time to crap the bed.
