Pats vs. Chiefs game thread

If things fall right today and tomorrow the Packers and the Chiefs could both be hosting conference championship games next Sunday.

Part 1 of a crappy NFL day is unfolding.

KC needed a perfect game on the road. NE doing great job keeping the Chefs pass rush at bay. I hope second half unfolds differently.

Smith literally throwing the 1st half away. With a physical running game working well and down 7-3 starting on the NE 35, Smith goes 3 and out on passes and losing yards in the process. 

Chiefs will loose this game if they don't run the ball more.

Reid does not have team ready for play-off football. The spike on 1st down was odd. Why not go for a shot in the end-zone? Plenty of time on clock.

That's only because they have no running game. But Chefs have no passing game...

good job by KC. red zone field goals typically win road playoff games.

Chefs have gotta find a way to get to Brady. They've generated zero pressure.
Ditto for scoring. They've been able to move the ball but can't punch it in.

Alex Smith is NOT a good QB.

He's good enough for this Chiefs team to win in a well coached game. Asking him to throw 21 passes in one half of a postseason road game is not intelligent football.

He really didn't have much to lose. What good is a 2 1/2 yard penalty?  I hate the college targeting rule, but in this case the NFL needs to do something different. Turns out it was no penalty at all.

I really do not understand how no team in the NFL can cover NE receivers. Brady gets 10yds per reception on avg throwing 4yd passes to wide open receivers
