6 offensive points though 3.5 quarters ... for the Axe.

With a second year, 4 Star QB recruit at the helm.

Playing offense is really not that hard when you can physically dominate a Northwestern, Rutgers, Illinois, Purdue, etc.

Paul Chryst just looks like a tired, spent force as an offensive mind/head coach.

Will be fun watching the electric passing attack coming up

Nice response

Tell me how Paul Chryst has elevated this program?  He hasn’t.

Tell me something else genius.  Who called Allen playing RB?  Newsflash- it wasn’t you.

Your one and only weapon and doesn’t even get 20 touches.  Yet your golden boy Mertz shits the bed again.

And I’m the putz?   (Again, not using that word here.)

I’m not arguing with you that Chryst screwed the pooch by leaving Allen on the bench to start the season, or that the program probably needs new blood.

You’re just an unhinged moron.

So, after all the hype about Mertz when he was recruited, the Badgers are exactly like they have been for the last 10 years (and really the last 25).

If their QB doesn't make mistakes to lose games, their ceiling is something like 10-2 and a berth in the Big 10 title game to get beaten by OSU or Michigan. They then go to the Rose Bowl and lose a close game.

If the QB is mistake-prone, they win 7 or 8 games and play in a middling bowl game that no one cares about.

If their QB is NFL caliber, they are in the conversation for the playoff (one year of Russell Wilson).

Isn't Mertz just a poor-man's version of Alex Hornibrook? And we'll probably get to see him start the next two years.
