5-0 and a plethora of weak opponents coming up
Squashing the Matty Ice/John O'Hurley mystique
Great adjustments after the disastrous beginning
Proving Atlanta fans once again to be a bunch of band wagoners.
Sherrod held his own.
Newhouse has a mean streak.
Great play calling from McCarthy. He and TT have really taught me the value of letting things play out and evaluate situations in the long term.

First quarter
I personally would have tried to score a TD at the end instead of a FG.
Drops. I'm looking at you Finley.

Sherrod and Newhouse held their own. It's nice to have depth at T. GB played a C+ game and still won. On the road. In a revenge game. Agreed with MC - this one goes to the coaching staff.

Things could get real interesting if they stay healthy in terms of what they can do with their final record. To play this badly for their standards, to have more bad injuries and to still win? Whoa.
Given how we've come back and beaten folks such as the Saints and the Falcons, I feel that our losses will come against the Vikings, the Chiefs, and the Rams. I'm preparing my essay on why said games should lead to Ted Thompson's termination, and once I put the finishing touches on the Works Cited page, I'm sure you'll agree it's very convincing.
Did the defense get its mojo back in this game? Really impressive turnaround from that unit.

It looked to me like Atlanta had a few wrinkles they were saving for this game. They pulled em out early and had success, but their offense went back to being rather stale after that. I also think they gave up on the run too early. Defense started getting stops because Ryan was throwing incompletions on early downs and setting up 3rd and long.

Rodgers for another 400 (Almost)
Crosby is one of the best in the league
Backup Tackles
Coaching staff making the correct adjustments
Shields was fantastic in coverage

Finley. If you're gonna talk, and you ****ing talk A LOT, you can't drop TD's and 3rd and long passes.
1st Quarter defense

In complete agreement with JJSD. GB was firing on about half their cylinders and still won a game... on the road against a good team that desperately wanted to knock your dick in the dirt.
Positives:

+ Rodgers. Packer fans have it good with him behind center. Another great game
+ Newhouse/Sherrod. The OL depth is finally looking good. Solid game
+ Jennings. Just a total stud
+ team performance in the 2nd half. Nice adjustments, controlled that half. We finally saw last year's defense show up
+ Crosby. Dude's been nails so far

Negatives:

- Team play in the 1st quarter. Offense had a rare turnover and the D was getting marched on
- Finley with the drops. WTF happened? Granted, he made some tough ones, but man, dropped an easy TD and dropped a should be 2pt conversion. You dubbed yourself the "playmaker" after last week and wanted the ball in your hands...so come on
- Clifton injury. Hopefully it's nothing major and is one of those muscle pulls that takes 2-4 weeks to recover from. Have the bye coming up in 3 weeks so hopefully he can return after that

all in all, a great win. Didn't play their best ball, played sluggish in the first half and got down by 2 scores vs a quality opponent who play great at home. To come out with a win in that situation was huge. Team finally had a game where they had to overcome some adversity and they showed their championship medal by going on a 25-0 run.
ATLs coaches showed they weren't in GB's league. They get credit for the first two well designed opening series but starting with the third ATL drive Smith and Mularkey screwed the pooch.

Started off that key drive with 2 passes (both incomplete) on the way to a three and out, leading to the Packers' first FG and the beginning of the GB comeback. I mean, here they are getting into favorable down and distance by pounding Turner on early downs and they throw it away. Had ATL scored on that 3rd drive we're looking at a different game.

Big, big ups to James Campen. The kids were ready to play.
Tweeted by Mark Schlereth during the game:
" Newhouse is gonna be a star in this league at tackle I can't tell you how hard it is to switch from RT to LT and not skip a beat!"

He's one of the few analysts whose opinion I respect. He's on a radio show in Denver, so I listen to him just about every day. He doesn't give these type of compliments often.
I'm not getting too carried away with the hype for Newhouse. Huge props to the guy for stepping up in a huge way. I'm thankful he's on our team. That said, he struggled big time with the speed of Denver's DEs and Atlanta didn't have a speed rusher playing tonight. Had he stonewalled Abraham, I might have said different, but he hasn't proven he can handle speed rushers yet. I'm cautiously optimistic though. Having 4 good Tackles is great problem to have!
I am willing to give Sherrod credit for coming in, and Newhouse switching to LT...but I am not ready to say they are ready to be starters.

ATL D is suspect...made more so without Abraham. My preference would be to get Bulaga back at RT, and let Newhouse take his lumps at LT if Cliffy can't go...and then get Sherrod in as much as possible to get game reps.

Lang needs to put some extra work in...he looked like Colledge a few times tonight.

Someone said in chat, this is a good wake-up game. Although, I don't think the Packers overlooked ATL at all...this was one of those games the Packers lost in years past...but a veteran team with tons of confidence comes back and takes it away.

5-0...lets get 7-0 before the bye!
