I really like watching Berggren. He has become so smooth around the basket and his defense has really improved. I worry about him wearing down, since there isn't much post presence after him. I hope for Frank to improve, but I think as a 10 minute a game guy might be his ceiling. Not a bad thing to have, but they certainly need more. Brust is gutsy, out of control, will make you tear your ear off, then nail a three. That is fine and all, but we already have that player in Evans. 1/3 of Evan's shots are simply ill advised, and he should probably be passing the ball with another 1/3 of his shots.

I think this might be an NIT team. Really it all hinges on Jackson and Marshall. If those two players mature, this could be a tournament team.

Lastly, Bo's offense has, from what I've seen, done and excellent job getting open shots for guys. But man alive, this team misses open shots like Evan's misses free throws.
Jackson's shot is awful. I never knew that before he came to UW.

Marshall's game is more explosive and to me has a little Devin Harris in him. He's smaller, but if he can get stronger he has the better game. He has a chance to be really good, IMO.

I agree that Bo's tourney streak ends this year. Dekker's trying to elevate his game, but Evans gets his opportunities, and he seems to be a year away anyway. It's going to be another example of wishing a guy had one more year- Berggren would be a beast with better G play. We won't get that util Gasser comes back and the younger guys have a year of play under their belts.
Evans is brutal athletically, he may have the shortest vertical I've ever seen from a black man Smiler ... and it kills his jumper and moves to the rack.

At least Evans and Bruiser realize the clock is ticking on their tenure at UW, they better bring it every night because their shooting is horrendus, hustle and D might be enough to get them to the big dance.

Barring any wins in B1G tourney, they need to sweep PS, Neb, beat @NW, beat Purdue, split all of the IA, OHST, MichSt, Minn, Mich, Ill ... they got get to 20 before B1G IMO.

The work is cut out.

F'em Bucky !
The Badgers have the bigs to compete but as we have seen before it is their guard play that sets them apart (good or bad). Right now they simply don't have a lot of good options in the backcourt.

Maybe the younger guys will mature and develop and become decent players but I don't know if that will help them this year.

This is a bubble team as I see it. Don't think they will get to 20 wins this season.

Bo needs to incorporate more drive opportunities (iso from time to time) so he can take guys to the rim. You don't have the G play, that's the next best thing.

Sure when he gets a step off a screen ala EKB's showcase. Otherwise he stumbles around like a drunk sailor with no height on his jumpshot. Maybe it isn't his vertical, maybe he is just uncoordinated.

Forgive me, IMO RE should not be the go to guy in this offense when he shoots Freethrows like a troubled grade-schooler.

RE being left in games late will continue to cost Bucky some, its a trend now.
