If Woodson has his heart in the right place he will teach Harvin everything wrong.

"So, just as you are going into your break on the route you point in the direction you are going to go, it's a balance thing. Then as the ball comes towards you, back up quickly to give yourself more time to make the catch. And remember what we worked on earlier, if you make the catch always go down immediately."

That would be interesting. Usually Minnesota is where old Packers players go, not the other way around.
Percy Harvin is the type of FA that TT would go after.

  • On the right side of 30
  • Prime years left on career

The biggest question is his demeanor or how he fits in the Packer locker room.

I can't see how the Vikings would let Harvin (once he is a FA) go even if they are rebuilding.

Great point. The Bears & Packers players talked about how much respect they have for each other & it shows when they workout in the off season together. People don't view Green Bay as the "Siberia" of the NFL anymore. It hasn't been that way for some time probably due to the fact we are consistently competitive year in & year out.
Really interesting to see todays NFL vs even the 90's when the Packers won a SB. Those days you would have never heard of this. In the 60's? damn Lombardi probably kicks you off the team for helping any rival player.

Woody isnt alone though.

Jennings, Larry Fitz, Asanti Samuel, and Revis (among others) do the same thing. It just makes all of them better.

Aaron Rodgers Philip Rivers and I want to say Brees also train in the off season with each other and defensive players as well.

Paging *cough* James Jones *cough*.....

He would be wondering what the hell training is. Those guys did not do off-season work outs. They simply showed up to camp and did 2adays to get into shape.

The vast majority of football players up until the late 60s all had off-season jobs--as insurance salesmen, car salesmen, teachers...real freaking work.
Woodson I may agree...although he was viewed as a malcontent and maybe on the short end of his career...a wonderful signing. Ryan Pickett? Not sure that was ever considered a so-called "marquee" FA signing. Back page stuff. Brandon Chillar-like. But a great signing.

Percy Harvin. Offensive rookie of the year. Awesome kick returner, slot receiver...good running option...different ball game...

My point is Harvin, on his current pace, will command BIG TIME dough, not what TT does...and I agree with.
