Stearns? Weimer was an automatic out and we had no real DH. Adding those two bats and Sanchez's glove has made a huge difference. Again a RH starts tonight and Tellez isn't in the lineup. Now a player has to hit to stay in the lineup unless he plays defense like Turang.

Don't look now but Chafin is in line for the win if he has a clean inning here.

Took him out after he got the left-hander and then Turner goes deep on Megill. Now there's another left-hander up.

Chafin could have given up the same home run and then faced the lefthander.

Whatever mojo Yelich had earlier in the year is completely MIA right now. He’s been pretty awful the last month.

Since August 5th, he’s 20 for his last 97 with 3 doubles and 1 home run. 15 walks and 29 strikeouts. That’s a .206 AVG, .313 OBP/.268 SLG/.581 OPS.

Until he gets back on track-and he will-Counsell needs to move him down in the lineup. He’s providing next to nothing at the top of the order. I don’t know if he aggravated an injury, or if he’s just not seeing the ball.

We have a fairly weak schedule coming up after the Phillies series, and we need to capitalize on it.

I think you're being selective. The three games before Aug 5 he went 6-12. On Aug 5-6 he went 0-8. In Aug his BA dropped 4 points and his OBP was the same, he scored 18 runs. He only hit 1 HR and drove in 9 but he is a leadoff hitter.

Yah, I meant Arnold.  But Stearns is still an advisor so maybe he advised Arnold to get those 2 guys.   But, who is Sanchez?      if they can sign Santana to a good deal Tellez may be moving on next season.

So, in Eau Claire i'm stuck with the Twins game on Fox (Spectrum).  They aren't on Bally but a blurb directs me to Antenna TV to watch them in non HD TV.

Yes, first world problem but the first time ever I couldn't watch the Brewers in a national TV game.

Feeling like you live in western Wisconsin, now, ECPack? Xfinity/Comcast once blacked out a Brewers/Braves game on TBS because the Twins were playing at the same time on BSN. I called in to the Xfinity offices to complain and they said it was a regional game conflict and then they hung up on me. What they didn't do was black out the White Sox game on WGN. Since the Sox were in the Twins division, I watched that game. I refuse to watch the Twins and any other Minnesota sports teams, with this whole local market crap we get to deal with. What I also cannot figure out is why do the Eau Claire TV stations broadcast vikings games, at all, when the Packers are on at the same time? The Packers will be on one network and the vikings will be on another, but they do not black out the vikings.

I said earlier I wish Sanchez/Santana was 10 years younger and the Brewers would sign him for 5 years. But he's about 37 years old so they might try to sign him on the cheap for a year. I don't see Tellez as having much of a future in Milw. When he's on the bench against a RH pitcher, I think the writing is on the wall.

Stearns is an advisor but this team is built a lot different than his teams. Youth seems to be the agenda and I like that a lot better than signing stopgaps like  McCutchen. Trading Hader when he did really changed some opinions of him. The Brewers were incredibly lucky making up for it by landing a catcher that could be here for 10 years at virtually no cost.

I went through all that crap years ago with Direct TV and the MLB package. Las Vegas was considered the home market to 6 teams so all of their games were blacked out unless you bought each team's local sports package. Fortunately, I discovered Fire Stick and other options.

Actually, EC has always broadcast Brewers/Packers regardless of Minnesota teams playing the same time.  Go 20 miles west to Menomonie, they get the Minn teams, not WI.  I thank God everyday for those 20 miles.

Except last night, when the Twins were on Fox and I was directed to some off channel to watch the Crew.  I chatted with Spectrum and they asked if my Fox channel switched to a different affiliate.  I'm like "how the hell would I know that?"  The news that came on after the game was the same local EC/La Crosse news that always is, so I'm guessing not.

It was just bizarre last night that it happened.  If I all of a sudden now have to watch MN teams after all this time, you'll all witness an explosion that could be viewed from space.

Back in the day, when Radio Shack had a store in Hudson, WI, they sold DirecTV satellite services. You could choose between a box that had Minnesota programming in it or a box which had all Wisconsin programming in it. I do not know how long that lasted, but it was cool that they offered a choice, at all. Most of the streaming sites, X4 posters offer here, have malware or virus warnings on them, so no thanks! Baldwin Telecom cable carries all the Wisconsin programming. It is available about a mile, as the crow flies, from me. Was hoping our Villlage would go for their cable services and dump Xfinity.
