fightphoe93, I agree with you.  Those pregame shows back then were something special.  We lived for the insights and highlights they provided us.  For Packers fans like me, living outside Wisconsin, they were especially meaningful.  I was in college at the time, attending Rutgers in New Jersey, and got the opportunity to do an independent study about the effects of television on the NFL.  That project allowed me to interview various executives in person at the NFL, CBS and NBC offices in New York City (highlights of which were meeting Producer Bob Stenner and Director Sandy Grossman at CBS); talk with Cowboys GM Tex Schramm over the phone; Shadow an NBC crew on a Sunday morning of a Cardinals at NY Jets game, be in the truck as the Director called the shots during the game; and being on the set of the NFL Today show and meeting Phyllis, Brent and Irv.  The real highlight though was finding out there was a room on the same floor where there was a wall with many television screens playing every NFL game live across the country.  You could sit, put on headphones, choose any game and listen to it.  Did exactly that, and watched the Packers.  It was awesome!  At one point, Jimmy The Greek sat down next to me and we got to chat a bit.  All in all, great memories for me of that show and the related experiences.  Even though the Packers were losing then, it was still a magical time to be an NFL fan.

Phyllis George... a class act and one tough cookie in order to survive in what was truly a man's world in sports back then. Reminds me of that barb Bush video above. She just gets up from the table with the napkin, hides George and wipes him down like she's done this a million times.  I admire all the tough and classy ladies out there. Happy belated mother's day😊

Lisa Guerrero is listed 11th in the BR linked article. I wonder who forced her to pose for the photo BR used?
