Worst pitching effort of the season by Lohse and Roenicke looking like he's never coached before leaving Thornburg in there.   ****ing idot RR.  Way to waste a bullpen arm.  If you are going to piss away an effort then get Wang in there

DEEZ NUTS!

I would agree MC.  The starting pitching has not been trending in the right direction IMO.  Garza is the one guy that is turning the corner, but Gallardo and Estrada and to a lesser extent Peralta have all had difficulty with location recently and have given up a lot of runs.

I'm not too worried about Lohse because he's been their most consistent pitcher the last year and a half but his outing last night was horrific.

I am still annoyed with Roenicke in that he basically let Thornburg sit out there and get hammered and there was absolutely no reason for that.  The game was totally out of hand and then he waits to get a pitcher warmed up?   I could care less if Wang gets knocked around but Thornburg has been one of their better relievers and he got his pitch count up there and simply didn't have it.   RR needs to recognize and get his **** together.

A lot of negativity here for a team 5 games up. They're playing average baseball right now. Big deal. Keep the lead, fill the holes, and they'll be fine. Not the best in baseball fine, but who would have predicted this?

TT now to the DL: http://msn.foxsports.com/wisco...ers-called-up-060714. Looking forward to seeing Fiers, version 3. Going to be interesting to see actually what they have there.

I'm not too annoyed by RR allowing Thornburg to essentially 'take one for the team.' Game was over and he only threw 40 pitches total. You also have to remember they had to put someone out there for the 7th and 8th innings.

It is interesting how often pitchers get bombed and suddenly find themselves on the DL. Grilli from Pitt was put on the DL after Braun got him late twice earlier this year. And some Dirty Bird got bombed by the Cubs one Sunday night a few weeks ago and found the DL the next day as well.

Finally saw the replay with Russell Martin getting tossed.  He is a complete tool even going back to the Gomez incident.   Throw your bat loser.

Brewers own those punks and maybe that's why he's POd

Yo was certainly not an ace today, he let everyone get on base.  Team played really well to make sure no one scored (though the strike to Martin was filthy)

Good win.

Also hit a couple guys, needed some sweet defence to keep the Bucs from scoring and needed 120 pitches to get through 7.

Better er than the last few outings, but Yo just isn't the pitcher he was.

Maybe if the K 's go back up and the home runs down (not as worried about the home runs yet...).

FIP (if that is something you subscribe to) is as bad as it's ever been.  Velocity is down and he adjusted to a different type of pitcher than when he was overpowering guys with his stuff.  Not bad, just different.  Glad he had a strong game against Pittsburg, hope he can learn to be more efficient and get to 8 innings once in awhile.

I agree. Needs to get deeper and more often. I'm not putting his bust in Cooperstown, just that it was the kind of performance you expect from the guy who's your opening day starter the last 5-6 years.

They'll need a lot more of that to stay out in front of this thing...
