Well, with Jones-Drew and Gabbert possibly hurt, the Jags might have to play 2nd stringers. It would be gentlemanly of the Pack to play 2nd stringers just to make it fair.
The Packers don't have 2nd stringers. They have a team - you know - where everyone works for it's good. That idea is what makes GB different than most other teams in the league. I reference today's Ram game.
All that said, the Jacksonville game will be like a bye week with a scrimmage scheduled. Hopefully it works that way.
I have no problem playing the non-starters against the Jags.....in the 4th quarter if the Packers can get up by 25-30 points. Otherwise, play the game to win with the best players available.
The only thing I slightly worry about going into the J'ville game is if Chad Henne starts.
Why would I worry about a former Miami washout? He went head to head against Rodgers in an OT game at Lambeau Field in 2010 and came out on top. He's got the confidence to know he can beat the Packers and Rodgers at Lambeau. Gabbert does not.
Henne had a ton of help that day as the Dolphins ran for a ton of yards. Let's just hope we don't see a repeat of that this time. The 2012 defense is pretty good at times, but I don't know if they're as good as the 2010 one was.
