The girl had graduated from Hilton Head High School that night. Simmons never was charged in the case, but the negative publicity may have sealed his fate with the Packers.

This would make him a POS.

I find the Packer People thing entertaining.

From the PFW list of top 100 FAs

47. Kendall Langford
DE | Miami Dolphins
Age: 26 | FA Type: Unrestricted

Solid against the run, the 6-6, 295-pound Langford wasn't as productive in 2011 as he had been in past seasons, but he certainly could hold appeal to clubs employing 3-4 fronts. He might be on the underrated side.

Silverstein is reporting GB made initial contact:

CB and I wish he were more SHINEY.

The 6-5 1/2, 295-pound Langford is a classic 3-4 end whose main strength is playing the run. Last year, he played in all 16 games and started 12 of them. He did not register a sack and had just one quarterback hit. He had 25 total tackles playing in the Dolphins' 3-4 scheme, but claimed his low tackle numbers were because teams ran away from him.

Teams didn't run away from Langford so much as they ran AT Cameron Wake to slow down his pass rush on the other side

Both the LDE and the RDE in Miami posted similar tackle stats, but ROLB Wake made way more tackles than LOLB Jason Taylor did
If the Packers want to go OLB in the draft early getting someone for the D-line through Free Agency is a logical move.
Either that or Boris is making crank calls again.

It was a crank call to Arrigo

Arrigo
Packers are in heavy on DE Kendall Langford.

Stay tuned....

Exactly. Old guy on last legs vs. stud pash rusher, hmmm, who do I want to wear/slow down more. For Taylor they could probably just throw down a Sizzler Early Bird coupon and Wheel Of Fortune tickets to grab his attention.
