Badgers get screwed by the refs on 2 calls, one a clear fumble and the a non touchback on a punt. Hard to beat the Goophers and the refs.

Play ruled an incomplete pass seemed a pretty obvious fumble to me.
Hey!!!!!
I started my game thread before ammo did.
I'm leaving.
I'm back.
Those two calls are inexcusable to get wrong after they review them.
I hate refs.
GROSHEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Easier to close yours than to copy what I wrote and paste into yours.
I'm leaving again.
On a jet plane? Won't be back again?
Mertz isn't looking downfield at all. I'm not sure if it's because he doesn't have receivers or he's just a head case (or both).
Mertz is more likely to be the next Hornibrook than the next Russell Wilson at this point. He has the physical skills but almost no confidence.

Just some awful throws. Missing guys wide open.
This might be the worst offensive skill player group in one game I can ever remember. I mean, Jack Dunn and Garrett Groshek are your starters at WR and RB. Dike is a freshman. Ferguson is solid but theyβve had much better at TE.
By the way, the OL is above average but nothing special.
So I would cut Mertz some slack.
They need to consider benching Mertz at the half.
Also, a really questionable decision by Chryst to go for that at midfield with 15 seconds left.
That was a head scratcher.
If we are going to pound on Graham Mertz than Paul Chryst absolutely deserves to be hammered as well. I mean, they are playing with a D2 level of talent on offense right now. You can see what he can do with weapons around him. Danny Davis and Kendrick Pryor arenβt studs but they are legit college WRs. The RBs are garbage and Jalen Berger has a bright future but cmon now.
The regression of Mertz is shocking. Just hope we can retain the axe. Maybe a defensive score?
Throwing the ball 5 feet over a garbage receivers head is still 5 feet over his head.
If this shit show keeps up Iβll be passed out before the Packer game.
At least I usually have a night to recover.
The announcers said prior to the game that Mertz was to be limited in his looks today, claiming lack of confidence.
If so, put in Coan.

He isn't accurate enough to be intercepted.
No targeting!
Bucky dodged a bullet. Can't allow a receiver to be wide open like that on third and long.
Ugly, ugly game.
Mertz benched to start with Wolf in the wildcat. They bring Mertz back and he throws another terrible pass.
I pray this team avoids a bowl.
Let's not blame this shit show of a season on Mertz. The whole team effort is lacking.

Mertz needs to take a few months off to clear his head. He's had a season where he looked like one of the top QBs the Badgers have ever had in Game 1 and one of the worst QBs the Badgers have had by the end of the season. You'd understand it if he was getting fooled by coverages but it's almost like he has the yips at this point. Many times he's making the correct read, has a guy open, and just misses him completely. He's not even consistent in his misses. Some are low, some are airmailed.
Finally, a really nice throw from Mertz. Threads it in to Dunn.

$$$$$$
All of the sudden Mertz becomes Jack Coan.
TOUCHDOWN WISCONSIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Coan, Wolf, Mertz....as the old saying goes, when you have 3 QB's you have none.
Mertz gets hit helmet to helmet and no call or review?
Fuck these refs.
Who the fuck calls that play?
Running with success and you call a bomb?
Oy.
Terrible pass but the receiver can't jut let the defender pick it off without some effort to break it up.
At worst you were going to have a long FG try to win if you kept running it.
Lowdermilk is a senior headed potentially to the NFL. He shouldn't be playing and it would suck to get hurt with 23 seconds in your season.
Is Rudolph still calling plays
