I thought in the past the #1 seed got the Saturday DIV game (13 days rest) and the opportunity for an extra day of rest with the Champ game on Sunday?

Possible for us to play Dallas and Mike McCarthy

That would break..a lot of things.

They will bring their own bench heaters

Open up the doors on the Hutson Center.  Hell, it could be 40 degrees by the time they play.

This would be ideal for the Packers, especially if they were to get the Sunday, Jan 23 winner. Would put that team on shorter rest with possibly 2 travel days.

Fox will fight like hell to broadcast another winter night game at Lambeau, featuring the #1 seed from their conference (the NFC).

I suppose nothing is announced until after the games are played next weekend (Green Bay date/time slot that is)??

I think for the most part they schedule the wild card and divisional weekends for TV ratings.

This year I bet they put the Monday night winner into the Sunday game.

If they can knock Brady's block off!

Philly will most likely get waxed by Tampa.  The Bucs defense is gonna keep them in every game they play. And with Rams choking, the would only need to play 1 road game to get to SB.

If Philly could run all day and keep Brady on the sideline. But Tampa's offense is humming now. I can't see an upset down in Tampa, but I'll root for it.

So it is Rams/Cards on Monday night. Barring any upsets in the other games Pack get the winner.   And hopefully on Sat.

With the Rams/Cards playing Monday night, it pretty much assures the Packers will get a Sunday game the following week, right?

edit - assuming there are no upsets.

A Sat night game with the #1 seed would be very attractive to any network.

Except it would be a clear disadvantage in scheduling for the Monday night winner, already on a short week, to make it even shorter with a Saturday game.  Oh, and to have to travel to boot.
