But our D is so good at covering TE's in the middle...
They can put Hawk or Jones on him and he will be neutralized.
I think CAR is an interesting match-up for SEA. But, like Chilli said, I would not be surprised if DET goes to DAL and wins 38-35 or some such.
Trade Jones to Dallas on the condition he plays offense, have him wipe out Suh's knee and end his career. Win, win, **** you. Crack a Busch light in the garage.
What were we talking about?
Recycling.
The love fest for Dallas is intriguing. Dallas is hot for what, beating up the likes of the Skins, Colts and Eagles? These teams are not very good.
If Dallas advances to GB, it will be an interesting matchup - they have 2 coordinators GB knows very well - Linehan as co-OC (formerly of the Loins) and Marinelli (formerly of the Bears). I don't think Dallas is built for a shootout, and GB is (at home, anyway).
Contain Lynch to reasonable numbers, keep Wilson in the pocket as much as possible, and don't pussy out on your own offensive game plan.
Freakin A Right!!!!

Anytime you put up 40+ points on your divisional rivals on the road, you should be careful of that team. When was the last time the Packers put up 40+ points on the Vikings or Bears (not very good teams) on the road? Divisional games are usually pretty close, due to the amount of familiarity with the opponent and the effort level of beating a rival. I know the Packers can beat the Cowboys if it comes to that, but it's not going to be a cake walk.
Of the NFC playoff teams, here's some thoughts on who might be the most difficult matchups - in reverse order.
Arizona. With their QB situation, this might be the worst offensive football team in the playoffs in a long time.
Carolina. The read option with Newton might give the Packers problems. If GB could contain that, they'd win going away.
Detroit. Unless Matt Stafford evolves quickly, you always like your chances against them in Lambeau.
Dallas. The current media darlings. In good weather, GB should have no problems scoring on them. Bad weather might work to Dallas' advantage.
Seattle. This is obvious. Seattle's defense is a bad matchup for GB in the passing game. GB has no major threat at TE to make their safeties cover someone. Kam Chancellor is not a cover safety, if you can isolate him against a slot receiver, RB, or TE, you have a chance to make some plays. The Cowboys won in Seattle by running the ball effectively. While Seattle is a great defense, this is not the 1985 Chicago Bears. Their six game win streak has come against the following QBs: Drew Stanton, Kaepernick (twice), Mark Sanchez, Ryan Lindley, Shaun Hill.
Did you miss this years game against the Panthers?
The Cards are doomed. Their defense will keep them in the game, but they won't be able to score enough points to win.
The Panthers aren't going anywhere, though. If they indeed win this coming weekend, they're not going to beat Seattle.
Panthers have been improving and have the best shot of any team to pull a Packers 2010 run....
No. Nope. Now way.
No.
Carolina will be going away. Soon. Remember they got boat raced in Minny less than a month ago. You don't scrape up a few wins against Tampa, NO, the Browns and Atlanta and think you're primed to take down Dallas, GB, or Seattle.
Rivera may still get fired. They need to beat an incredibly resilient AZ team for him to keep his job.
There is no way the front office of Carolina (Gettleman from the Giants) had plans for success this year. No OL? No problem! No WR? Who needs them!
Plan was to fire Rivera from the get go. Plan has hit a roadblock.
If they fire Rivera, that would be incredibly stupid. He's put together a decent season, with the pieces he's had to work with.
Green Bay lost to Seattle and Detroit in the first 3 weeks of the season. They beat New England. What does this all really mean?
It means every game is different and only the game at hand matters.
Dallas is the only team in the NFC with the offense to give the Packers defense fits. Would be nice if they blow it against Detroit on Sunday. Remove them from the equation and I'll have a lot more confidence in the defense holding up their end of the bargain
Detroit can win. Gotta shut down the run and force Dallas to rely heavily on Romo. Taht should increase the likelyhood of some stupid Romo crap. Not expecting Detroit to win though

"Every team's record now is the same — 0-0," safety Morgan Burnett said. "What you did in the regular season doesn't matter anymore. Your ultimate goal is winning that Super Bowl."

we play better at home?

Jason Garret has no contract in place for 2015. He's coaching for his job. Few things go wrong and he loses to Detroit game he'll be shown the door. Going to be an interesting game.
credos to YA for posting a link!

I don't think Cam Newton is good enough. Rodgers became a superstar during that 2010 run. Cam's not an accurate enough thrower.
Well, it looks like the 2014 "Pay as we Play" plan worked since season-ticket holders claimed all available playoff tickets this year. This is vastly different from last year's almost blacked-out Wild Card game.
I'm hoping that everyone heads to the game in green and gold instead of scalping their tickets. We have to keep that undefeated home field advantage going.

Ticket sales were reported as steady on the secondary market early in the day.
"We're selling seats, and there are lot of (ticket) sellers as well," said James Bryce, co-owner of Ticket King in Ashwaubenon. "We've got two weeks with the bye. If we didn't have the bye, we'd probably be even busier."
Tickets started at $185, he said.
Lions chances just went up quite a bit.
they could be recharged just with the news of Suhs reinstatement
would love to see Dallas lose

No way, is he going to get canned.
Matt Stafford is at QB for the Lions and they've got practically no shot. The prudent course of action for the Packers is to gameplan for the Cowboys.
Packers ain't losing in Lambeau next Sunday. Seattle is lucky we don't play them.
This is tremendous, featuring one of the NFL's better playoff performers.
Romo and Stafford know what's at stake Sunday. Lose and it's pretty much career check mate. You've had a big enough body of work to prove you simply aren't capable of getting it done if you lose. It's the perfect storm of career fail for one of them. The smart money says Paddford fails but both have it in them to crap the bed. This will be fascinating.
