NFC North Champs
Now only 3 games behind Chicago in all time series 88-91-6
Rodgers after the 1Q
Running game looking better
James Jones catches TDs
CMIII back
DBs played rather well, especially Shields.
OB and Buffone are stroking out on The SCORE

-
The punt trick play. Just. Wow. Who in the world thought that was a solid idea? Unfathomably stupid.
Crosby. In the words of Kevin Greene - "It is time". Rackers, Longwell, Best Available Gramatica, someone.
Troy Aikman. Normally I think he's pretty rational. Today he sounded like a whiny little girl.
++
Rodgers after a slow start.
Defense in general. Mathews and Shields in particular
Refs. FINALLY called some of these WR push-offs.
Cobb 2nd half
Jones
Finley had a nice game.

--
Cobb 1st half
Ginger, until that final punt.
Crosby. What happened?
MM. WTF was he thinking in the 2nd half. TJ Rubley disease.
Grant. Coulda been a very costly fumble. Very hesitant in his runs today.
Undoubtedly.

+ NFC N champs. AGAIN!! correct me if I am wrong, 5 in a row against the bares.

+ Clay back.

+ Sheilds back

+ Hayward. Must have been tape study, there was no reason for him to turn and look when he did.

+ Chance to get a bye, work it boys!

- Crosby, c'mon man!
- STs choice for trick play when up 11 and dominating.

oh and

+ Defense, for not letting a bad ST call overcome them.

% queens overtake Bears by our win. Curious, for now.
+
Defense (Matthews, Raji, Heyward and Neal in particular)
Rodgers overcoming the stupid coaching today
James Jones
Offensive line
Packers only need five wins to take the lead in the all time series, something they've never done
Another NFC North title!
Giants are imploding. I want to see those bitches miss the playoffs

-
Coaching was really dumb today, dunno what was going on. Nothing worth worrying about in the long run
Crosby
Lovie Smith probably lost his job today
Put this in the stupid "SO ANGRY" thread by mistake initially

NFC North Champions
Matthews and Shields coming back
Rodgers.............not much can be said that hasn't been already
Alshon, don't think I've seen that many Offensive PI calls on one player in the same game.

-----
Crosby, game wouldn't have been that close with six extra points that he couldn't put on the board
Trick punt return, hopefully it's out their system.
(+)
- Rodgers, this guy is pretty good

- Matthews: every play difference maker. it's not just a different defense with him back, it's a different team. wow. (btw, he makes $500,000 a year. PAY THE MAN.)

- Tramon: Shut Marshall down. Bears radio is saying Marshall got all pissy at his news conference, walked off crying. Tramon is playing out of his mind the past couple games. good to see.

- Defense: run defense, pass coverage and pass rush were outstanding today.

- Alex Green: didn't have the best day on the ground but i thought Green was running hard. broke some nice tackles.

- NFC Champions, 2 in a row.

(-)
- Barclay and Newhouse - they got better later in the game but it was pretty ugly at times. I expected Barclay to struggle but Newhouse worries me somewhat. He's been struggling a lot since the Giants game.

- Crosby: ...

- Throwback Punt return: almost cost someone their job... good thing the D was on point, and Cutler was Cutler.

Champions baby
Home playoff game and a legitimate shot at 1st round bye
Continued dominance against the Bares
Continued dominance in the division. 11 straight wins
Brandum so frustrated he was close to tears at podium after game
GB's defense looks really good
Refs called a good game for the most part
Clay Matthews is so good it borders on being ridiculous. Run, pass.. you name it

-

I thought Arod could have been sharper early in the game
Trick play had me damn near speechless
Field goal misses
+

James Jones -- all he does is catch touchdowns. That'll do Jim, that'll do.

Aaron Rodgers -- after a rocky start, showed a lot of mental toughness by not getting rattled and settled down and had a nice game. When he's comfy in the pocket, there's no one better. No turnovers, and showed some grit today.

Casey Hayward -- great read on the pick. HUGE play, changed the whole course of the game.

Sam Shields -- all he does is get interfered with, and he still hung tough the whole game. Honorable mention to the refs, for finally understanding what offensive PI is.

Jermichael Finley -- No drops, and made some really nice grabs in traffic. Looked fearless today. He's back, he's black, and he's back in black. Right on Jermike!

++

Randall Cobb -- more than AR's favorite target, he is now Mr. Clutch, the go-to guy when a first down is needed, and he had some really crucial catches on 3rd down. He is easily the second most important player on the offense right now.

Clay Mathews -- talk about important players. His presence alone made the whole defense better. They had a superb game, and it all goes back to Mathews coming back.

+++

Jay Cutler -- so cute, I just, well it's like this: I love him. I mean I really, really love him. He's absolutely adorable, not just the crucial picks, better every last thing about the guy. I just want him as my own cuddly little boo-boo bear. He sealed the game for us, like he always does, and he is our one and only Vajajay Boo-Boo Bear. Game ball, buddy, you are irreplaceable to Packer fans world-wide.

Not Negatives

Ryan Grant's fumble -- I mean it was unfortunate and could have been crucial, but it really was a perfect punch-out by the defender and not his fault.

The ST trick play turnover -- personally, I liked the gutsy call. Would have been a psychological dagger if it worked.

- -

Mason Crosby -- the guy is so cold, his whole body is frozen: not just his leg, but everything, especially his head. Right now, I bet his farts are like blasts of cold air. This is not good, especially heading into the playoffs.

- - -

Some day, Jay Cutler will retire.

Positives

- NFC NORTH CHAMPS! GIF

- Shields has been the MVP of the D in these games vs Chicago this year. Dude completely took Jeffery out of the game BOTH times(1 rec, 7 yards in 2 games TOTAL). Allowed the Pack to do what they did last meeting. Tramon on Marshall with safety help

- Harris looks like a nice little change of pace option

- Rodgers

- Clay being back. Talk about a difference maker. Just causes disruption in all facets

- Cobb

- JJ

-TGIF

- Defense was great today as a whole

- Picket and RAji

Negatives

- Grant fumble
- Burnett's PI
- Mason Crosby is a trainwreck
- Trick play on the punt return. Insanely baffling decision

Yep. Hate the Queens but you have to love the way AP plays. Can't believe he is flirting with breaking Dickerson's rushing record when he tore every ligament in his knee just last December

He's averaging 164 rushing yards the last 8 games. Let that sink in. He only needs 294 yards to break Dickerson's record I believe

I'd root for him to get it, but he faces GB the last week and teh Pack may need to win that game to secure a first round bye...so hopefully he gets about 240 yards next week and then the Pack hold him to around 50 yards. That'll work
That is a statistic that supports the middle finger to the bears explanation for the punt return. That and Cutler had 12 completions: Marshall, Forte, and some other twit. The call on the punt return could have been sort of a hate message.

I would think that McCarthy would hate Schwartz more than Lovie.

MM is an f'n assassin: baldy in MN last year, Schwartz and Lovie on the bubble this year.
MM presser:

Q: What does it mean to win the division title despite all the obstacles?

A: "I'm not a drama queen. It's great that we won the championship today. I feel good about it. I'm not trying to diminish anything here, but we're just getting started. We feel that way as a football team. I'm not trying to be arrogant. We feel we have a lot better football in front of us. This is an extremely important game for everybody involved today, but we fully expected to come in here and win this thing. We got the division championship and now we'll be focused on 11 wins next week at home against Tennessee."

Woodson when asked about Brandum's comments this week. "That was just corny"
