Keisean Nixon now leads the NFL with 8 kickoff returns of >30 yards this season.

What is more bizarre; the fact that the Packers (1) after all these years finally have a legitimate return man in Nixon or (2) allowed Amari Rodgers to lead the NFL in fumbles while returning kicks poorly for over half of the 2022 season?

It seems that Nixon is more decisive when he gets the ball and also quicker to start running. Amari would take a while to get started and then danced around too much.

I never saw anything from Amari that made me think he was a good returner.  Once he fumbled one I was done.  You cannot fumble as a returner, maybe once every other season...

Nixon is a natural returner, gots the juice.  How MLF and crew could not see that, no matter how much respect they had for Amari's work ethic - which doesn't get you a cup of tea in London when it comes to doing the job, I'll never know.

always trust your eyes, MLF.  don't try to wish players into being better than they are.

Haven't had a chance to watch the broadcast version of the game yet.

I ended up trading my tickets to a friend that has club seats. He's been bugging me to do that for years and I figured a 15 degree game was a good time to do it.

Positives:

Crowd was a little louder and green/gold than I expected. I guess all those bargain seats went to Packer fans that maybe appreciate going to a game more than the regulars do. Probably also helps that the Rams season has cratered or it might have been a 50/50 situation.

Seeing the speed of the young guys was great. Nixon really has a nice 5th gear when he gets a block and breaks outside. Gotta keep this guy around!! Watson really looks like he's jogging and just blows by players. Ramsey was grabbing his jersey each and every time they were matched up. There was a play I think in the 3rd quarter where Watson went in motion to the right and grabbed the attention of a CB and S. Doubs ran an up and under route to the left of Watson and he had a good 20 yard cushion for Rodgers to have as easy a completion as you'll ever see.

Got to see Dillon truck a few guys and Jones run hard like he always does. Zach Tom had another nice outing at LT.

Quay Walker had a few jaw dropping plays. Kenny Clark was looking like Aaron Donald early in the game. Nice game for Amos as well.

Negatives:

The fucking 12-15 yard cushion on 3rd and 10+. Over and over again. It didn't matter because the Rams suck but if you pull that shit with Waddle and Hill it's gonna get ugly. But that's it, that's my only negative. Joe Barry is gone in January. Better get the right guy this time.

Oh, and I'd also add the club seats kinda suck. I mean it was nice to be warm but I still would have rather been in my normal seats. Fuck those club seats.

There were some alumni still alive when I was in college in the 1980s that did. When he passed away, he was worth about 150 million in today's dollars and Carroll didn't get a cent.

Real estate.

Two old-time actors were financial whizzes and advised many other actors of their day; Adolphe Menjou and Donald Crisp (Crisp served on the advisory board of Bank of America for many years).

I saw a team that wanted to win and played like it.
The balance of rush/pass plays. Even after the half, when our running plays were going nowhere, they stuck with it, and it paid off.
DL played very well.
Even STs played well; excellent returns and good coverages.

I don't know if this has been posted in any other threads, but Mason Crosby tied TOG's record of consecutive starts for the Packers (255). Which, of course, means he will break it next week.
And Aaron Jones is now the 3rd all-time leading rusher for the Pack.

I had hoped the bye week would bring some changes to Barry's defensive scheme. I now see that didn't happen, and likely won't as long as he's here.

I hate to bitch about the officiating, but it's as bad--or worse--than I've ever seen.
I hope we don't have to play a team that has backup OL-men playing, because our guys get horse-collared by them and the refs are blind to it.
