The thing that pisses me off is that Lafleur had a game plan that was going to attack them vertically where they are vulnerable, and Rodgers (because he hadn’t practiced) could not hit anyone open (or in many cases see them) downfield.

Now the final stats look like Rodgers did his part. But they scored 10 points at half and should have had more. It was there all game long. They could have done to that defense in the 1st half what they did in the 2nd half, and it would have changed the game. Rodgers poor play in the first half cost them dearly.

As did 2 dropped INTs that turned into 10 Vikings points they never should have had. This one got away. Losing Jenkins hurts bad. Not having Jones (who has torched this defense) hurt. Not having Gary hurt. Not having Alexander hurt. See you in Lambeau in December, fuckers…

January 2, 2022 but I get what you mean.

I thought I was one of the younger posters here, and I'm quite a few years younger than you.  I would have guessed most people would remember the song.

We played it in a fireman's band when it was already outdated.

We did quite well. We got paid money to march in parades with them and got paid with beer to play for a few hours after to keep the crowd around. We had groupies and everything.

No player in the NFL in 2021 has been clocked at a faster speed than Green Bay Packers receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling during his long touchdown on Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings.

According to Next Gen Stats, Valdes-Scantling reached a top speed of 22.09 miles per hour while racing past the Vikings defense on a 75-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter Sunday.

Before Sunday, Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor was clocked as the NFL’s fastest ball-carrier at 22.05 miles per hour on a 75-yard touchdown run in Week 9. Valdes-Scantling and Taylor are the only two players to go over 22 miles per hour with the ball this season.

😳 😳 😳 😳 😳  beat the Badger, Jonathan Taylor.

Did you see Savage trip on the turf, on his run back of that INT? About the same place Cook tripped and wrecked his knee, a few years back. We were lucky Savage did not get injured on that crappy turf.

If he was a bit slower we may have won

Jonathan Taylor is both Jones and Dillon combined.  And better, because you don’t eat up two roster spots for him.

He’s a special player.  Not like Indy is blessed with a dominant QB, or WR, or TE. Yes their OL is good, but he’s 75% of their offense and still dominating.

Wish the Packers could have gotten him.

Yes MVS is fast.  But unlike Taylor, he can get a head start.

The fear is that #Packers stellar OL Elgton Jenkins tore his ACL, source said. Would be a significant blow, but he’ll have an MRI to determine the full extent.

Maybe we can pray it into an MCL sprain like we did with Jones?

Jaire  Alexander in this game and it's not even close.

I think if Gary can go it's different, too. They managed some pass rush in the 2nd half but Gary would have prevented some of those times when Kirk was able to look for his 3rd or 4th receiver.

Honestly, I'd be fine with the outcome of this game if Jenkins isn't carted off. Not sure how many blue chip players one team can lose. If they can get Bahk, Jaire and Z back this team is going to be just fine but enough with the goddamn injuries!

Biggest negative - I believe out of all the true Super Bowl contenders, the Pack is in the worst shape injury wise and it isn’t even close.  Jenkins, Bahktiari, Alexander, Gary, Merciless, Z. Smith, Tonyan, Jones, Lazard, and Myers were all out by the end of that game.

That’s 8 preferred starters out and 5 of them are among the elite at their positions.  2010 was horrific injury wise, but because of the quality of the guys that are out, 2021 is worse.  Losing Jenkins for the year is a potential death blow for winning a Super Bowl if Bahktiari can’t get back to what he once was.  And that’s if he even plays at all.

- Vikes won their Super Boll

+ No trophy for regular season win

- Winnable game lost

+ Lots of playoff teams getting upset every week by (seemingly) vastly inferior opponents, Pack not blown out but looking worse for wear.

Need to be physical vs Rams like 49ers were. Hope we have the horses and MLF has a few plays up his sleeve.

33 walked around afterward, and off the field into the locker room. 74 had to ride the John Deere sled…if they are fearing it’s an ACL tear, it usually is.

Thielen made a good play on the first throw that Savage couldn't bring in and I can't really fault him for that one. Second one is another story and if he wants to be considered as one the better safeties in the league he needs to start catching rather than dropping balls thrown to him.

Defense that's played so well simply couldn't get the stop when it was needed.

It's fairly simple to me:
Giving up 34 points is NOT winning football.

I've been expecting this to happen for about 3 weeks now.
When guys like Galeai, Black, or Sullivan are playing, there is going to be a price to pay eventually, and the Vikes got theirs today.

With that said, it looked to me as if the defense still played with the same intensity that they have for the last 2 months. They just weren't very good, especially in the defensive backfield.

The OL has really regressed over the last few weeks, and it's having a direct affect on efficiency. Unfortunately, it's likely going to get worse before it gets better.

The only REAL negative from today's game was, yet again, officiating, and the resultant influence on the game. Here's my beef:
Let's say the PF on Keke was absolutely the correct call, and based strictly on the letter of the law, I suppose it was.
The first pass to Adams after Jenkins went out, the defender (Woods?) creamed him in the helmet and facemask, yet there was no call. And it's the exact same thing (hitting a defenseless player in the neck/head area).
To me, you can't call one without calling the other. Minnesota obviously benefitted from the PF penalty (negating a INT and scoring a TD).
Not calling the same on Woods obviously had no benefit for the Packers.

Just watched the game ....hate to say it but Cousins was really good under quite a bit of pressure ... BUT he gave us 3 good chances for turnovers, of which getting any one of the three most likely wins the game for us. I don't see them beating us in rematch.

Has anyone in his circle ever suggested contact lenses?

If Jenkins is done, it necessitates Bahktiari's return.  It might have been necessary even if he wasn't.

We're at a point where we literally can not afford to lose any more starters to injury (accept maybe Crosby) and then also really need to start getting guys back.  They can tread water and play 500 ball and probably still get into the playoffs IF and ONLY IF they get guys like Jones, Bahktiari, Meyers, Jaire and Gary and probably Z back with at least a couple games left in the season to get everyone back on the same page.  This isn't 2010.  Like someone else suggested, it's more like 2016 and I would expect the same result.

Cousins gave them 5 relatively easy chances at turnovers.  They converted 1.

As for injuries, well, that’s where the “last dance” stuff is kind of stupid.  Injuries happen in the NFL, and there’s a big element of luck and timing involved as to whom and for how long.

The injuries didn’t cause Crosby to miss an easy FG, nor did it have an impact on Keke making a bonehead play that cost them points.   Savage is a starter, yet couldn’t convert when they needed it the most (4Q).
