Has anyone ever seen a play like the one where Boykin kicked the ball before the Chicago punter could? I have never seen anything like that before.
I can't imagine it has happened before. He didn't even get credit for a blocked punt.
Some of the numbers Rodgers puts up are simply mind boggling. Like this stat:
@pdomo: Packers' Aaron Rodgers hasn't thrown an INT at Lambeau in his last 286 attempts dating back to Dec. of 2012. Has 26 TDs there in that time.
I watched all the videos on packers.com. The Pepper's one is funny, because the entirety of this video, it is like he is smiling from ear to ear.
The Packers are loaded with high character guys. Rodgers, Nelson, Cobb, Peppers, Clay.
You can tell. These are good people.
Nelson had a funny line after he was asked how he thought Rodgers did. He said something like, "Well, he was lot on that one pass!" Then he started laughing and asked to delete that part!
+ A well-deserved win by a class organization. The Green Bay Packers not only win, but they are a class organization. Last weekend my nine year-old son Paul received an autographed football signed by the Packers, a packers jersey, and a get-well card from Aaron Rodgers. Paul is fighting leukemia. Fortunately he has an excellent outlook for a full recovery, but has some challenges ahead. He is a huge fan, son of a Viking fan mother, a Packer fan dad, and grandson of a grandpa who attended Green Bay East. If they weren't a great organization through the years, they wouldn't of won what - 13 championships.
-We live in Chicago surrounded by Bear fans.
Positive vibes for your son ChitownMadtowner.
Best wishes to your son and your family, CM. Sounds like he's got a heck of a fan base.
Best to you and your family, ChitownMadtowner.
Thanks for sharing Chitown and blessings to you and yours...
While the challenge on the 3 yard pass was a head scratcher, McCarthy is one of the best in the league in regards to success rate on Coaches challenges.
@ByRyanWood: #Packers LB Julius Peppers got a whopping +7 grade from @PFF, highest I've seen. He proved a little something to team that cut him in March.
@ByRyanWood: Even with torn ligament in left, big toe, #Packers G Josh Sitton gutted out a +1.4 grade on @PFF. His 1.6 grade in pass blocking led O line.

Once again a complete lack of adjustments at halftime from MM. Outscored 14-13 and AR held scoreless. Need to get that fixed pronto.

I wonder what Jared Allen's grade was? He played last night, yes?
Watching Allen try and rally the troops on the sideline after Chi fell behind 14-0 was amusing.
That Jordy block on the Lacy TD should be played by any coach coaching competitive or noncompetitive sports (4 year old co-ed t-ball?). It was 28-0 at that point. What effort.
The WR's and Sitton's hustle with a bad toe is incredible.
I think Jordy has to be the best blocking WR in the NFL.

Boykin's punting was atrocious. 1 punt, 0 yards.
Plus: My Wife was happy last night
Big reason he and Levens were so complimentary. Selfless play is key in GB. (See CM3 at ILB)

Thanks for all the good wishes. Now on to the next victories.
The blocking on this is just silly good:
Man, Jordy is FAST!!! it almost looks like everyone else is in slow motion. he covers about 30 yards to Lacy's 15...
It reminds me of Lawrence Taylor in Tecmo Bowl when you watch it. It looks like he's running the equivalent of a 3.3 40 yard dash. I sometimes eat oatmeal on the crapper in the morning to save time.

Even worse than that- He kicked it twice. Without the second one he might have got the bounce he was looking for.

You guys went at it DURING the game? What are you? Taliban?
Negatives:
It feels like the Pack got like 3 wins last night, but it only counts for 1.
Positives:
The 1st half was the best half of football I've ever seen a Packer team play. Some of it did have to do with the ineptitude of the opponent, but that was almost as perfect a half as you can get outside of Cobb's fumble.
The Bears look like such a mess, it could take them years to clean it up. Cutler just doesn't have the confidence and mental toughness to make it as a consistent winning NFL starter. He's never been the same player since losing the NFC Championship game vs. the Pack in 2010. He was mentally fragile before that game, but after that, he's looked even more mentally fragile as he's gotten older. What a huge mistake by the Bears to put all their eggs in the Cutler basket.

Best part of that hit by Clay: it actually looks like he let up on the guy. He could have drilled him in half, but he just partially drilled him.
Did PFF miss the 70 or so yard screen play to Lacy where 3 Olinemen where 20 yards down field mauling people? How do they all have zero for screen block?
...and apparently AJ Hawk was better at rushing the passer then Clay Mathews last night. Even though the only time he gott a whiff of Cutler was when he was caught sniffing Clays uniform after the game.
Yep. Sometimes I have no idea what game the guys at PFF are watching.
Without reading the whole thread...

The X4 poster who mentioned moving C3TO to the inside. I thought that was preposterous but I was rong. Nice work...

M3 freaking out over tripping on a cord: http://deadspin.com/mike-mccar...tm_medium=socialflow
EDIT: Congrats Saguaro! https://packers.timesfour.com/t...at-middle-linebacker
I'm not sure MM was grousing about that cord. It was 4th down and he seemed to be already pissy with the conversation he was having in the headset. I think the outburst after the cord trip was a continuation of the conversation not about tripping on the cord.
I could be wrong. No big deal any which way.
Oddsmakers set an all time mark for Packers/Bears by setting the over/under at 53 1/2 for last nights game. Previous high was 51 1/2.
Packers almost had to cover this one alone.
If I'm not mistaken, that's Briggs who got blown up by Sitton on Lacy's screen play.
Whether or not Clay got full wood on his hit on Williams, he de-cleated him.
Cutler is lucky Clay didn't rip his friggen head off.
