Correct again sir.  I am still a bit delirious from the Packer W.

But,

they aren't naked!

During the game Silverstein on the JSO blog observed that when Cobb moved into the backfield Dallas complately changed coverage schemes. Instead of 2 high safeties to help double the WRs they moved a safety to cover Cobb, I suppose because they knew he could toast any LB. Tom said, from the press box vantage, that this completely opened up the Dallas secondary, witness Adams finding holes in the D.

The best part is that they can't press him, they know he is quick coming out of the backfield and can't leave an LB on him because the LB won't be able to keep up if he makes a move as he goes out...and he carries the ball a few times from that, so the LBs still have to honor their run responsibility and can't drift back into  zone coverges.  Good wrinkle.  (Holmgren used to do this with Sterling Sharpe, but only to get him away from press coverage.)

I've never really thought that Romo was anything special.

Today I saw a very tough and accurate quarterback who deserves all of the credit he has received this season.  Burlington and WI should be very proud of him I agree 100%   He just had the misfortune of being drafted signed by Jerry Jones

Tony Romo and that Dallas team have nothing to be ashamed of, they were as good as advertised.

Seattle has speed everywhere on their defense. It'll be interesting to see how effective 18 in the backfield is against them.

I for one would not like Kam Chancellor running downhill to meet Randall in a running lane. Cobbie is great but e=mc squared

The key to the game right there.  Once he trusted himself moving a bit, he was deadly.

Yeah but in the chatroom, you literally -- literally-- said the game was OVER in the second quarter.

Eat some fricken crow before posting. Or don't.

(Whatever.)

You quoted two guys, since I wasn't in the chat room, I have no idea if Hank or CAPA ack Fan 95 said literally that the game was OVAH.  WHO WAS IT?  One of these two colossal morons must pay with unrelenting typewritten word reminding them of what they did?  Because of your irresponsible quoting, we may never know who must pay the price.

For a kind of generic positive, I thought as the game moved toward the end (say at the start of the 91 yard TD drive that began in the 3rd quarter), virtually every facet of the team played better.

Defense, Rodgers, pass receivers, ST's/Crosby.  Just everything.

It didn't bite the Pack, but at the point of that 3rd quarter drive I did feel MM got away from the run a little bit.

No you weren't there.  Like the one who wasn't crapping his pants really cares.

Douchebag. It's CAPACKFAN95'S post. Or I would have quoted the other guy.

Positives:

+ Peppers

+ Rodgers brought his B game today partly due to injury, but in some key moments, his A+ game surfaced which is the main reason the Pack pulled things out.  That's the epitome of clutch.

+ Cobb, Adams, Lacy

+ Pass blocking of O-Line

+ Special teams were at least decent today

Negs:

- D-Line lost too many battles at the line of scrimmage.  They weren't horrible, but they'll need to step it up and play much better next week.

- Shields needs to find a way to knock that pass to Bryant down, I suppose that's why he didn't make it as a wideout and became a DB.  He didn't judge that well at all even though he was in position to make the play.

- The 2 point try, I'd rather they try a lob pass to a tall guy like Quarless rather than a flat bullet that is easier to defend.

Positives +

The most satisfying victory since 2010

Aaron Rodgers taking over the game despite being hobbled

The Rookies - Dix, Rodgers, Linsley and especially Adams who showed that he really belongs.

Julius Peppers and Mike Daniels making big time plays, especially peppers forcing the fumble.  HUGE momentum\point swing.

Coaching - adapted and overcame early failures.

SPECIAL TEAMS!!!!  no blocked kicks or missed extra points or field goals.  Great return coverage and no fumbles.

MM throwing the challenge flag when many (including myself) thought it was desperation.  Winning that challenge put the ball in Aarons hands and the game was effectively over.

Andrew Q making a clutch touchdown catch.

COBB!!!  $ all day long

NEGATIVES -

Some posters forgetting that the game is played for 60 minutes

That we weren't all able to be there to celebrate together.

But you did quote Hank, which lead to the confusion.

I was hoping it was Hank, I owe Cap money.

Hank doesn't go any more.  Miss all you guys in there, truth be told.

Today we even had the freaking Cat Lady until Boris kicked her out.

Roller coaster of a game.  First half they looked bad (outside of the first series on both offense and defense).  But to their credit, they really stepped up in the second half.

Positives:

-Davante Adams: Proud moment when he threw the Dallas DB to the ground on that 3rd down catch.  If he's playing well, this team is hard to beat.  He'll be key next week.

-Lacy: 100+ yds and 19 carries.....but should have had at least 25 carries today.

-Rodgers: Was pretty mediocre in the first half until that FG drive, but he showed who the MVP was in the second half.

-Cobb: Pay dat man his money.

-Shields: Obviously that one play will get the coverage (which Shields played perfect) but outside that, Dez did nothing.  That's huge.

-MM Challenge: First win of the season for him and couldn't have been a bigger play.

Negatives:

-Dom Capers: Sorry, but I'm tired of blaming Brad Jones for his awful plays.  At this point, it's Dom's fault he keeps putting him out there.  Leave. Him. On. The. Bench.

-Tackling: Need to be much better against the Seahawks.  Too many blown tackles today.

-Coverage on Witten: You know he's getting the ball on 3rd down, so why is he so open?

I know the media will focus ALL of their attention on the Dez catch/no catch but I'm confident the Packers would have won anyways.  In just trying to run down the clock, they still drove into FG range.  Was there any question they could have scored a TD to win there?  No matter, karma is b**ch and the Cowboys now know how it feels to have a questionable call go against them.

LOL...that was awesome.  I tried to listen to Buck-Aikman, but turned those guys off about halftime and listened to Larry & Wayne the rest of the game.  It took a while to get used to the 5-second play results to the TV picture, but it made the game much more tolerable to watch.  Plus, I could look away on the bad plays and not really see them...

I think he may have been evaluating how much he could test it throughout the first half, then figured out he had to go for it on that 'BRILLIANT' pass to Rodgers for the TD.   Hope he continues to improve this week.  We'll need it vs the Seahags.
